At first I thought I was going crazy so I used Google to get some information because I was too embarrassed to ask any questions LOL But does anyone have any cure all fix for whatever is happening to my tongue

I've never been so aware that my tongue exists the way that it does :( I'm going crazy with this! Nothing tastes right, I can't taste my juices, and I feel like my tongue is ten times the size of my head (ok maybe that's an exaggeration). All I know is it's making me miserable! I just want to enjoy my vaping again.

I've seen people mentioning dehydration is partly due to this and I do feel dehydrated but exactly how much water do I have to consume to prevent this from happening. Don't know how this could make a difference but I just recently changed from an iClear 30S tank to a aspire Nautilus tank and a few Eleaf GS Air tanks. I believe it was just coincidence that when I made the change this started happening. I also just recently switched to a few new flavors as opposed to the everyday Strawnilla I used to use.

Any suggestions are welcome. I just want my tongue :pervy: back to normal!!!

Just went through this, everything tasted like cardboard. Drank lots of water after vaping, and drank pineapple juice (just what I had to work with), and ate a banana every day, brushed teeth and tongue 3-4x per day. Had a quarter sized bare spot on tongue, but has since healed. It just takes time for this to pass, but still keep drinking the water

Hahaha mcol good idea! I have been brushing my teeth and my tongue a lot and I tried rinsing with baking soda which someone recommended. I'm also going to try the Biotene a lot of people recommended as well as up my water intake. It's just so frustrating and annoying. Thank you guys all for your advice and replies :) I hope this passes sooner than later! But I definitely will crack out the less enjoyable juices as I would hate to waste my precious Nicoticket juices!

How long have you been vaping? The vapers tongue hit me about a month in and I couldn't taste any difference in juices for a good two weeks. It did eventually pass and now I can taste my juices again. I've heard that it could come back if you keep vaping the same juices continuously, so I have several different juices loaded into tanks and I rotate them over the course of a day to change up the taste (although they are all fruit based juices so they taste fairly close to begin with).

I have also noted that if I get into a chain vaping session where I am pretty much vaping continuously the same flavor for a while (to the point where the tank starts to get warm to the touch), the flavor of the juice starts to get muted.

Firstly, when you brush your teeth, spend about 30 seconds brushing your tongue too. That's handy for vapers tongue and for preventing all kinds of oral problems. I rinse will two things, first, classic yellow listerine. Another trick I found worked was rinse with warm water and baking soda, it tastes gross but it really helped me. You can put a little salt in there too for flavor lol.

Oh, and don't ever be embarassed to ask a question around here.

It might be because of the PG content. Try using mostly VG based juice. PG dehydrates you.

PG doesn't dehydrate you unless you don't drink enough water. VG just has a different feeling in the mouth and can mask feeling thirsty.

The most important thing is to stay hydrated. Vaping is very different than smoking. A lot of the exhaled vapor is moisture from your mouth, lungs, and sinuses. It is very important to replace the moisture you are removing from your body.

I don't think it actually dehydrates you but you do need to increase your water intake. VG/PG are humectants which will dry you out. You just need to sip water frequently to keep from feeling like you have your mouth stuffed full of cotton balls. It will get better with time so water intake wont have to stay elevated for long. At least that was my experience. Try vaping a juice outside of you normal flavor profile and it might snap your taste buds back into action. I have also heard of the coffee ground trick by sniffing fresh coffee grounds. I try to use several different juices throughout the day switching frequently to avoid get the vapors tongue. You might want to buy several tanks to have a rotation that you can switch to so your not changing liquid as that would be pita. Just a suggestion. Hope this helps.

One other thing, since the op mentioned this just started with some new juice it could be one of two things:

Some kind of reaction to a flavoring in one of the new liquids

Or the taste is so good you may be vaping more which could indeed be leading toward dehydration.

Remember anything in excess can be harmful, even plain water.
