Last night I was preparing my Sigelei 150W TC for today's workday. All I did was change out the batteries. When I powered the unit back up, all I got was "Check Atomizer" on the screen. My KF5 tank works fine on my Provari. I've changed the batteries with another pair. The unit powers on but won't read the atomizer. My best guess is that the wire to the center contact in the 510 connection has broken. None of my tanks will work on it anymore.

That leads to my question. I am looking for a dual 18650 mod with TC for around $50 if possible. I have looked at several but since I haven't been in the market in about a year and a half, I'm not sure what is good anymore. My backup Provari still serves me well but I would like to keep it as a backup. I would also like to have something at least 75W. Thanks for any help.

Sorry to hear about your issue. Vape gear mishaps can suck, it's why I generally use mechanical devices, they work no matter what. A former Provari user myself from back in the hay day, I thought I'd help and suggest

Does the mod have a spring loaded center pin? I may be that the spring decided to break. If the pin still looks like it is sticking up a bit I would try backing out the center pin on the tank (assuming it has an adjustable pin) and try to see if you can get it to make contact again. I would not get carried away trying it but it won't cost you anything and may get it to limp along until you can save up to get something nice.

The center pin is ok as far as I can tell. Springs up and down like always. Cleaned it with alcohol and a q-tip. Screwed the center pin on my tank out a bit and tried that. Nothing seems to make any difference. I also measured the distance from the base of tank to the end of the center screw on the tank and compared that to the depth of the base of the mod to the spring loaded pin on the inside of the mod. The tank should be making contact. That's why I have to assume there's something going on internally with the mod. It's well worn and time for a new one anyway. Most of the black finish has worn off and I was on the verge of putting a wrap on it if I kept it.

Vaping Zone is in my home town and they have the Voopoo Drag in stock for $53.95 with 10off discount code. I could pick one of those up today. Anyone have any comments on these? I know I could get one for about $10 less on line but I would have to wait on shipping.

Smoant Battlestar has been out for a while and I couldn't find any negative reviews on it. I love mine. I also got the Smoant Charon 218. It has the same chip as the Battlestar and is a quality Mod. Element Vape has Battlestar for $42.95 and Charon 218 for $54.95

About the only negative thing I have seen on the Voopoo Drag is some folks say the firmware updates are a bit confusing. I guess it's a pick and choose with what you want on the mod.
