Hi all,
I have just found out about this e cig stuff and spent the last few days glued to reading this forum ( have an addictive personality!) no housework getting done, not speaking to husband, kids etc!

I have tried every way you can think of to give up, cut down smoking, Allen Carr, Hypnosis, patches etc.

I really want to try e cigs but am totally lost on what to try. I have almost decided on the Janty Kissbox Classic as I think from everything I've read it will give me the experience closest to smoking but would really appreciate some advice re how long it should last before it breaks as this seems to be the main problem with all of them! Also what's the difference between Classic and Yentl, do they work differently, give you a different experience?

Sorry for all the questions but there is just SO MUCH info on here that I am totally confused!

Also I was in the middle of reading a post yesterday when my computer crashed, oh joy.... It was about someone who had just had another e cig and was raving about it. can't remember which one but they were ina pub and his mates were pinching it rather than going outside to smoke?! Can anyone point me in the direction of this post as I have lloked everywhere and can't find it.

I'm in the UK so will need stuff I can get here.

Thanks again, look forward to reading the replies

Claire

hi claire.
if you want some good advice,go to Electronic Cigarette | Free Yourself... | e-cigs Welcome.

the man who runs that is a forum member here called smokester(check the suppliers section).

he sells very good ecigs, they are very reasonably priced, his service and products are great...and he happens to be a nice bloke.
PM him if you have any questions.

dont spend a load of dosh before you know if you like e-smoking or not.

anyway, ive had 3 kissboxes, amongst other things, and i prefer the ecigs smokester sells to anything else ive tried...

in my personal opinion, they are as good as,or better than most.
they are cheap to buy, have cheap spares(VERY important!),and cartridges, and you get anything you order within a day or two max.

you wont do better in the UK,believe me.:)

i have classic penstyle(model number RN4072) and medium sized mini(DSE901).
both are good ecigs.

both produce good amounts of vapour,it depends what youre looking for really.

the classic penstyle cartridges and batteries last much longer between changes than the mini...maybe twice as long roughly,so its cheaper and less hassle to manage if you just use cartridges and not liquid, which i assume you will at first.

the mini looks like a normal cig(not always an advantage if esmoking in public),and is smaller, obviously.its vapour is,to me anyway, more substantial in consistency and more satisfying to inhale then the penstyle, which has a lighter feel to its vapour.

i really like them both for different reasons.

the supermini i havnt got because its cartridges and batteries are too small for me to be bothered with,as im a heavy esmoker, and id be constantly refilling it and messing around, and i cant be bothered with that...having said that,im considering getting one just for fun anyway.;)

remember tho,its not like ordinary smoking...it doesnt taste anything like it for starters, and its vapour, not smoke youre inhaling..its something you get used to,and if you dont like it at first, keep at it and you probably will in a surprisingly short time.

and if you are ordering anything, order some spare atomisers and batteries at the same time, cos they absolutely will fail-sometimes sooner rather than later, and you dont wanna be left high and dry...always have spares on hand.:)

Right, placed an order for the mini, with spares! Maybe I can finally drag myself away from reading this forum and tidy the house;).
Thanks for your advice, am really impatient so hope it arrives superquick for me to give it a go!

am interested in trying some of the flavours, I've ordered menthol for now as that is what I smoke but any other suggestions welcome:).

What other devices have you used? You all seem to have at least two or three!

Yep I'm crazy for backups. The device count so far is 7 penstyles and 8 Superminis. If I was to host a smoking party, that's how many of us could go at it at once.

The problem is I don't see this easing off. Never tried a mini cig but guys on here seem very happy with them (Rat and Mr D). Never smoked a pipe or a cigar in my life. On the other hand Gandalf and Winston Churchill weren't mugs, were they?

Sounds like me. I've got 5 working penstyles, plus one bad pen atomizer waiting replacement and two good spares; and 8 working minis plus two spare atomizers.

My problem right now is I've been buying solo atomizers, to try different brands, and don't have enough batteries to go around. And now I'm having a few battery failures. So I guess extra batteries will be my next buy.

The dilemma is whether to go for the cheapest available high quality battery, Myecig.com; or go for the Smokster ones with the cool color LEDs; or get Njoy ones, so I can match the atomizer colors instead of getting all white; or pay boucoup euros for the ultra expensive, but long lasting Sedansa batteries.

Oh, yeah, I got my Sedansa, and the long life batteries really are long life. One lasted me 25 hours, from 930am yesterday until 1030am today. That only included 5 hours of sleep, and 5 hours at work. ANd even at work I was puffing freely. The smoke volume didn't drop noticably until the very end, and I can still get decent smoke off it even now, just not as much as about an hour before.

Welcome luffy! Smokester is the best supplier in the UK in my opinion. I just have a super mini, I can't complain about it because I don't smoke heavily so it just lasts as long as I need it to, and I like that it's so small. I thought it wise to buy spares too, always a good idea - especially if you're like dnakr and me and can't wait for deliveries. That's why Smokester is so great, delivery is so fast and it's free too!

Let me know when your party is EmperorOfSmoking! Haha

Good morning Mr Darcy!

Oh yes, very exciting! I almost accosted the poor postman this morning...Yes it has arrived, brilliant service from Smokester.

Well, what can I say? I've had a quick go and.................WOW!!!! SO much better than I excpected! I don't really know what I was excpecting because I got a bit overwhelmed reading this forum, some of you are obviously BIG experts, smooth vs not so smooth, vapour vs not so much......etc etc. However after one quick go (battery back on charge:cry:) I LOVE it!

To anyone out there thinking of taking the plunge into e-smoking, go for it. I can imagine it being just great when out and about in the places we are no longer allowed to smoke, which let's face it is just about anywhere these days. And for thirty quid for the starter pack for the mini, you have nothing to lose, that's about a weeks worth of cigarettes for me.

I am a very happy bunny and can't wait until i no longer want the stinky cigarettes and will be happy with my e cig. My husband will be over the moon!

I got the blue LED, looks very funky.

Will keep you up to date with how I get on, but thanks for the great advice which meant I didn't spend loads of money on something I didn't need. So ta all, keep up the great work, look forward to joining your little community!:)

congratulations luffy on making your first steps to give up the cancer sticks,it will only take a few days to adjust to the ecig.

I could not believe how good it was!
My brain kept saying buy some cigarettes your missing out on the real McCoy!
After a battle with my conscience for a few days
(NO im not scitzaphrenic) (lol)i decide to buy 10 cigs to see if i was missing out,was i wrong lol i lit cigarette and it was yakker the taste was horrible and the smoke wasnt as nice as the vapour from my ecig,
The hit wasn't as good at the back of my throat as my good old DSE901 ethier!
You did your home work and looked on this forum a took some good advice of my mate sir darcy :p and went with the smokester who is the best in the uk imo (ENJOY)

im really glad you like it.it should be even better when the batteries are fully loaded.:)

that dse901 mini is one of the best you can get,in my opinion...no matter what you spend.
more expensive doesnt always mean better when it comes to ecigs,in my experience anyway.no sense in spending a fortune when you dont have to.

theres a lot of information to sift through on this forum, but all you really need is to start with the right ecig and the right supplier.and you have.:D

Hi all,

Back again for a bit more advice. Have now been using my e cig for a couple of days along with smoking the dreaded tobacco. I've found the vapour very harsh on the back of my throat and in my mouth, is this normal? Am using menthol carts. I have two cigs and one is def worse than the other for causing this, is this the atomizer and if so what can I do about it?

Hope that makes sense but this is putting me off at the moment cos it's tasting really odd!
