Please can someone help me as vaping is no longer the pleasure it was as it keeps making me lightheaded. I reduced the nicotine strength from 18mg to 12 and when that didn't help I went down to 6mg. Yesterday I was fine on 6mg but today the lightheadedness is back! I've just added some 0mg juice to see if that helps. Is it normal to need to reduce from 18mg so quickly (about a week ago I was fine on 18mg)?

Is anything else going on in your life that might be causing any anxiety? It doesn't really make that much sense that you'd suddenly have such a reaction to the nic level.

Yes my partner has been in hospital since 21st June and despite not being very mobile yet he's coming home today. I feel it's too soon as he can't climb the stairs and nothing has been sorted yet as to where he'll sleep so as you can imagine my stress levels are pretty high. But I don't understand the connection - why the lightheadedness? I tried the 0mg juice mixed with 6mg but couldn't get a throat hit so I'm back on the 6mg.

You can still get throat hit with your vape and not get lightheaded. Raise the PG content of the juice, and try 3mg. PG and NIC are the two contributors to throat hit.

That sounds like a huge amount of stress. I'm wondering if the lightheadedness is more due to that than the nicotine. I know anxiety wreaks havoc on my body. Good luck with everything.

Hi everyone, not been here for awhile but I now know for definite it IS stress n not nicotine strength that's the cause of my lightheadedness!
I would really appreciate some advice as I've converted my daughter to e cigs and she is looking to buy a tank and battery. She has tried my nautilus mini with my 30w Istick and doesn't know whether to buy those two or a nautilus with a kangertech KBOX which is 40w. The kangertech is under £21 compared to £30 for the istick despite being higher wattage. But is it as good as the istick? Can anyone help please?

heya Kaydi - something to keep in mind, the subox will also require purchase of battery (or batteries) and an external charger is generally recommended with the removable batteries (usb charging can be used in a pinch, but external charger typically regarded as more safe/ reliable/ consistent for prolonging battery life)

Thanks so much, I sent my daughter your reply and she's just bought the istick 30w and a nautilus tank. We hadn't realised the battery isn't included and this isn't mentioned in the advert so she would not have been happy when it arrived! She borrowed my Istick n nautilus mini (I have several now!) for 24 hours n only had one cigarette which she said she didn't even enjoy so I'm confident that she'll quit when she gets her new purchases.

Good to see you again @Kaydi :)

Although it's not good that the stress is causing your lightheadedness, it really does help to know.
Being a carer to Don has had my stress levels through the roof at times and to try prevent the lightheadedness I even tried vaping 0% nicotine but the lightheadedness continued. The only way to stop it is to stop vaping for a few hours which is not easy when you're stressed and it often comes straight back as soon as you start vaping again anyway so I usually just put up with it. It feels like my head is full of warm cotton wool but it is the only negative about the e cig and I will never go back to the evil weed again!

I enjoy vaping so much I want to try sub ohm vaping to see what the difference is. Did some research and found the Uwell Crown tank has excellent reviews so I bought one. I also found an Eleaf 40w istick for £24.50, which was cheaper than I'd paid for my istick 30w n knowing I may need a higher wattage battery I bought that too. The Uwell Crown tank came but the battery has been delayed so I tried the tank with my istick 30w but it says atomizer low! I just watched a video review of the Uwell Crown and the bloke vaping it started at 30w. So why won't mine work at 30w?

iStick 30 watt:

Rated output voltage: 2.0V-8.0V
Rated output wattage: 5W-30W
Rated resistance range: 0.4Ω-5Ω

What resistance is the coil you are using in the Uwell Crown?

Thank you, I don't know why I didn't think of that! I put the lowest of the three coils in and it's now working with the istick 30w. First impressions though I'm not keen on it as the drip tip is enormous so I tried it with one of my other drip tips but I have to suck really hard to get anything. Do you think it would help if I bought a drip tip that's in between the two?

Hard to say as I don't own a Crown, but it is really not geared toward a tight draw, MTL style of vaping, from what I have seen a lot of the coils are 30+ watts. Some of the coils over 1 ohm are probably lower wattage range. It's more of an advanced tank really  I would say to check out some threads on it and try to find someone who has experience with it.
