I got burning throat when I quit, and it sucked. More MTL vaping helped a lot, as did discovering I had a PG sensitivity. You could get a slightly less sub0hm tank if you wanted or possibly you could change your PG/VG ratios a bit, I also used nic salts (not at super high concentrations) but I was vaping 3 ppd when I got here, my throat (and entire respiratory system) was shot, the LAST thing I wanted was a throat hit, and reducing VG (which I am sensitive to anyway) and reducing freebase nic, which is a bit harsher, helped me out quite a bit. I can use freebase and vape more open tanks at slightly higher wattages but usually my highest wattage vape was like, less than 16 watts. Also, hydrate.
Also, I found THIS helpful when I got here:

Might be helpful, maybe not, but I found it helpful.
I also drank a ton of chamomile, honey and lemon tea, lemon sort of astringent, honey coated my throat and soothed it and the chamomile sort of tamped down my thoughts about killing people and chewing through my own arm and etc. It doesn't taste bad as an added bonus.
Good luck!
