My husband and I started vaping 2 weeks ago. Last week he got a rash that started on his back and is getting worse by the day. I'm thinking it's the PG so I want to dilute the vg (glycerin from Walmart) I have to make it 'vapable'. I have an empty 10ml bottle, distilled water and 80 proof vodka. I just need to know how much, and what do I cut it with? I know it won't have any nic, he can use a patch, but I just need to make something to hold him over until I can order some.

I also have some LorAnn flavoring I can use (water soluble). I'd need to know how much of that too.
Thanks

There is a ton of information in the sticky at the top of this subforum called "Guide to DIY Flavoring." It is a wonderful source on Lorann's flavorings and the percentage of flavoring recommended for each. Here is a link:

There is also lots of information on other brands of flavorings and you can gather an enormous amount of information on mixing your own juice.

I use all VG and don't dilute it with water of vodka. It hasn't clogged anyhting in 6 months!

Good luck and have him take Benedryl. That will halt the reaction hopefully.

Lori

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. I think it helped already.

I dilute my vg at a ratio of 80%vg to 20% distilled water. I would use anywhere from 5% to 20% on the flavoring depending on what the flavoring is (ex.-peppermint is strong, Vanilla is not-). Good luck and hope your husband gets to feeling better.

I mixed some up for him (I used LorAnn raspberry), but I think he's afraid to vape now... Thanks for your help (and the juice was pretty tasty if I say so myself)!
