HELP! New Batteries Not Working With Cartomizers

I recently purchased two 900mah Tenergy 3v RCR123's to replace my old 750mah Tenergy LiFe 3v RCR123's. These new batteries do not work with my 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers in my Prodigy v3. I even removed the V3 from the equation and ran wires from the new batteries to the cartos. Nothing. I did the same with a regular ole atomizer, and it worked perfectly. This is VERY frustrating, as I had to buy a seperate charger for these batteries and was pretty excited to replace my junky ones. Does anybody have a reason for this??

The dual coil is drawing too much current and the protection circuit is shutting the batt down.

Get yourself some AW LifePo4 batts = I have the same set up as you Tenergy 900mAh batts and charger. I had 3 sets 2 are now toast after 14 months I haven't used the 3rd set as I prefer the convenience of charging the LifePO in 2 hrs compared to 8 hrs on the Tenergys. We live and learn I guess

Yup! those are the ones and can be charged on any 3V charger. I wouldn't use the Tenergy charger on them though.

Tenergy charger specs;

Input 12V 250mA
Output 4.5V 360mA

Not a good thing. Ya need something like the W-188 by Ultrafire - charges anything under the sun, from 3V to 3.7V, slow or fast 320 or 650mA and most important it will charge the 26650s if ya ever go that high. The only charger you will ever need.

I have heard from a few people (i dont know what PV you use but this was referring to the prodigy) that the tenergy 900mah (are they blue batteries?) are crap. They cannot handle much current output and are much less reliable than the green or yellow ones with a less capacity (600mah?)
