Just trying out my new kit and as I take a hit it makes a scary crackly staticy popping kind of sound - is that normal?

Yup, that is normal. Some carts have more crackle and pop than others. Most folks prefer the noiser carts....it is a good sign that everything is doing what it should.

Thanks so much - guess I can skip the rice krispies for breakfast. BTW, I think I'm liking this now that I'm no longer terrified it will explode. They did kind of mess up my order though
kathie, if your order is messed up, open a support ticket or call the number on the card that came in your package. V4L has great customer service.

V4L really is cool, they resolved the issue already! What happened was I got the wrong cartomizers and they say they will ship me the correct ones right away. Have to say I am LOVING this!!!!!!! Less than an hour and I'm already a convert

Refilling does make the snap crackle pop fade. When I miss it I open a new carto! LOL

The more times you refill a carto the less it will crackle. All that old juice gums up the works so to speak.
This might not be technically accurate, but it might help you logically understand it. This is why I use fresh blanks instead of buying prefilled....nothing performs like a fresh cart! I will refill it several times daily, but after 5 days the sizzle is definitely gone.
When I first opened this thread I misread it, and thought you had a new "kitten" making a crackling sound. So I opened the thread with great interest to find out why a kitty would do that...Glad to know it was just a carto Kit you were talking about...I'm so relieved!!
My cartos still sizzle refill after refill. Could it be due to the syringe-filling method?
