Today I just bought a smok H-Priv 2 mod at a local vape shop as a replacement to my istick Pro. I did everything i was supposed to do, charged the two batteries, put the e juice in, primed the coil, and set it up accourdingly but I don't understand what's going on. I've hit it several times on 30 watts, 40, 50, and even tried hitting it on 60 which made it taste burnt?? And everytime I hit it I go into an Asthmatic episode and start Weezing and coughing up a bunch of gross flemmy ....?? I was hitting my Istick Pico at 30 watts everyday and this wasn't happening?? I also am hardly getting any smoke at all?? I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong and I'm honestly really upset because I just spent the last of my money on all this and I'm now worrying that I won't even be able to use it. Please help me!!

Pg/Vg ratio?
Nic mg/ml ?
Did you prime the head properly?
Drip drops on all exposed wicking material until fully saturated then thread into base, fill tank thread together let sit a few minutes. Take a few unpowered primer puffs then start off at a low power setting & gradually work your way up over at least the first half tank.
If you do I right there won't be any smoke, lots of vapor but no smoke.

If you had the same issues with your first set up why did you chose another high power sub ohm DTL set up?

Topwater gave you great advice on how to set up your tank and coils.

My first thoughts reading your recent experience is wondering what tanks you are using and what ohm rating the coils are? You told us what mods you have, but didn't tell us what tanks are on them.

Different vendors often combine different tanks in their "starter" setups, and without that information its difficult to offer specific advice. Some tanks are considered to be standard ohm and some are "sub-ohm". Some are designed to be for a MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw and some are designed to be for DTL (direct-to-lung). All require specific knowledge on how to get the most from each one.

Different ohm coils have a recommended range of wattage to be used. Perhaps you are using the wrong wattage on your most recent tank setup.

I'm unsure if you understand the differences between a small, MTL setup and a major cloud chasing setup.

With asthma, you'd be better off sticking to devices that offer a lower AMOUNT of vapor, but a higher nicotine content.

My guess is that you are not using your device correctly somehow. With that said, we need more information to figure out where the problem is. You may be able to vape it but as a new vaper with asthma, I wouldn't suggest a mod that puts out a ton of VG, persons with lung issues of whatever sort often need a higher PG content juice and a FAR weaker delivery system. You may be able to use your current mod with the right topper, and just enjoy VAST battery life, so fear not. You haven't WASTED all your money, but you need a different atomizer (the tank that goes on the mod) and you need LESS power, and more nic and PG.

I would suggest buying either a Nautilus 2 tank, or an Innoken Zenith tank. Both good sturdy easy to use (more or less, watch some YouTube videos on your gear and/or get educated here) and go with something that will not overwhelm your system. FWIW, I cannot STAND high wattage, high vapor setups. I don't like them and I'm never going to. I am still a successful vaper, nearing a year smoke free. A lot of vape shops like to tout "high vapor" setups but they are not for everyone. You need the right gear, the right liquid, and I'd imagine that you can meet with success. There are many successful vapers with asthma or starting vaping with lung issues, I was one of them (nearing a COPD diagnosis). I was able to make vaping work regardless, WITH the right gear.

Keep asking questions but let us know what you have currently and how you started using it, I'd imagine we could offer more help.
