First this post is not for business or personal gain. Yes I work at a vapor shop, I admit it. The batteries that are being sold are junk. And I mean that none of them are rated for APV's like the lava tube or Vamo or Acrilic Max. Sorry for spellingl. I've tried to warn people about what Rolygate posted.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9007-warning-rechargeable-batteries-apvs.html
All the vapors I've talked to say the same thing. "I can't afford that for a dumb battery."
I truely don't want anyone hurt from batteries that are and I have seen it, unlabled, not listed and also the wrong size and not made for the demands that our new APV's need. I don't want to break any rules for my job or for this forum (Moderators please forgive me). These folks are vaping a time bomb.
I'm getting straped on cash and just want to find out if I can get some AW IMR 18350's and also 18650's at a wholesale price and where.
I've searched all over and have had no luck.
I don't want a profit, just to make back what I spend and save us all a couple of dollars and maybe a body part or two. The amount of batteries would not be over maybe 20 or at the most 25. (depends on my plastic money at the time).
I can't find the AW manufactor online, and I just want to save someone, who might be a very dear friend and vapor from a possible disaster.
I'm the one who started to warn these vapors about letting their batteries rest but they don't listen or don't have the money to buy a good battery.
Once again Please Help me help them.
Thanks to anyone who can help
(And I apolize to all the Mods if I've broken any rules. I just will take this chance to help someone. I can recoup the money from the house or the trunk of my car if need be. Please forgive me) I just worry about people and don't want to see someone with half a face...

The fact that someone can't afford a decent battery and has a slew of mods is a poor excuse, period! If one can afford to buy a Provari, then they have the cash to buy the kit, and if they don't they can wait until they do. You would be surprised how much money folks can save if they stayed away from the forums for a week or two, not constantly buying the next best thing trying to achieve vaping Nirvana.

So instead of haphazardly buying "the new kid on the block" set aside the required cash to fully kit it out, and that includes purchasing or owning a multi-meter.

Perhaps not the answer you wanted to hear but the truth nonetheless.

If you're going to buy a mod, buy the best battery charger and best batteries.

they are like your toothbrush, car, etc. Get lots of use and your vaping depends on it.

Saving a few dollars in this area is just absolutely FOOLISH.

And yes, buy a multimeter, let your batteries rest, and do not leave stuff on the charger overnight or when you're away.

Have a copy of the Safe Vaping Chart on a bulletin board somewhere, too.

Vape Shops should have hand-outs on this stuff, IMHO. Or at least, a handout with "helpful links".

Ok seriously...?

I don't want to cause any drama, but who came up with this chart?

I have been running a 1.5 ohm DCC on a 6v Silver Bullet for over a year and never had even the slightest issue. In fact I am currently looking for a reliable way to push my wattage even higher. Now granted, I've been vaping for over 3 years and I know how to treat batteries properly and what the warning signs are.

Granted I wouldn't recommend this set up for a new vaper, simply because it is (I'll admit) pretty crazy. But at the same time telling them that it "may melt nichrome wire or solder" is kind of misinformation as well. A better chart would be a list of trusted batteries and chargers on one side, and guidelines to safe battery care on the other.

Give people information, not training wheels.

As far as AW batteries at "cost" goes, you need to contact Andrew Wong directly. And anyone that is selling true AW batts should have his contact info, since they would have had to buy from him as well. They aren't mass market batteries like Trustfire or the others.

Good luck with your boss, hopefully you can get him to wake up and stop trying to kill people.

::EDIT::

Dunno if this is the best way of ordering from AW or not, but it is definitely one of the ways.

Thanks to all the replies. Whille I absolutly agree with the device/battery comments,(becaue AW's are the only battery I use), I can only repeat the answers that I've heard about the cost of the batteries. For all my APV's I agree with the AW because that's what I believe in.
As I stated in the first post, this is not for my personal gain or help, but only trying to help others. Thanks again to all.

Chart is a bit outdated. All the current charts are based on charts that were made 2-4 years ago when we had far less options and technology.

TnT you could try contacting RTDVapor and talking to them. If they cant help you out stil lmight be a good idea to recommend them o people.Really great prices on batteries and fast shipping.

Agree Zapped. RTD is the place I get all my AW's from. I was just hoping for a wholesale price to help those who I feel deserve it. They really don't understand the timebomb they got in their hands.

I never said these people had a slew of mods or even a Provari. I stated that they are mostly Vamo's and lavatubes. Sorry if you misunderstood. If people aren't informed then I'm more than glad to try to help.

Never said you did, I was generalizing, sorry for the confusion !

ETA: Once upon a time the majority had that attitude, now we see less but there are still many out there. My opinion as stated is obvious.

I ran out of time yesterday but have kept the link. Thanks again for all the help. I still believe ECF is the best place for the simple reason it's a place where people help other people. That's what it's all about.

I still see it as a good "guideline".

Those who want to push the envelope can, but I personally am not gonna push 6 volts with a 2.ohm delivery device on the end of a battery. :) I don't care what battery, mod, or device it is. :)
