I am planning on finally making my first purchase today (well my first real purchase since I was scammed by GreenSmoke).

Here is what I have in my cart so far, and I plan on purchasing from Hoosier Supply so if anyone has a better suggestion for a vendor I am all ears.

KGO kit 1100mAh by SLB
Color: Rubberized Black

5ml Syringe and blunt 18 gauge needle

5ml Customizable Premium House blends

Coffee

Dekang E-Juice 24mg
Flavor: Menthol

What are some top e-liquid vendors? I want to get a bunch of different flavors to test out so I can see what I like the best.

I am a pack a day smoker. What strength in mg should I get to start out with?

Also, what is the difference between 60/40 PG/VG and 100% VG?

From looking at what I've chosen above is there anything I am forgetting? I don't want to have the same problem as I did with GreenSmoke and start smoking analogs again within days, I want to be done for good. Also, would the choices I've made above allow me and my girlfriend to vape at the same time or should I but two KGO kits?

I really do appreciate all the help I've received so far from you guys, I just want to make certain this purchase is one that will allow me to quit analogs once and for all.

Please help!!

A lot of people are happy with the kGo-type vaporizers, but battery duration is going to depend on how heavily you vape. I'm always tempted to at least have 2 batteries per person (if you lose one, one of them fails, you accidentally let one drop out of the window of a moving car (not that that has ever happened to me, right?)). I'm guessing that even 1100mah batteries won't last all day if you're vaping on them like crazy.

On the PG/VG discussion, I think you'll find a lot of preferences there. Some people go full VG for several reasons - PG allergies being one of them (though a fellow vaporizer also uses VG under the impression that it's "all natural"). Higher VG content will increase vapor but will lessen the flavor (AFAIK).

As far as samples, Vermillion River, Dark City Vapors, Halo, and eliquidplanet (and many many others) all have "sampler packs" - usually in 5ml presentations, which gives you a pretty good idea of what that house can put out. Backwoodsbrew doesn't really have any sampler packs, but I really enjoy their juices. I can't comment on strength, I think that's a very personal taste type of question. I used to be a PAD, but 18mg is sometimes too much for me - 12-15mg seems to be a very good sweet spot based on my vaping habits. I'd say type of get a few of each (24mg/18mg/12mg) and test it out.

The kGo lasts most people a full day on one battery. I use an Epower which is very similar to the kGo but uses much cheaper non-proprietary batteries. The kGo battery is 1100mah and the Epowers is 1050mah. I vape throughout the whole day and one battery lasts all day no problem. I think you'd be fine with the kGo, and it comes with 2 units so you could always carry a spare. If you don't want to do that, then check out the Epower bc it uses removable batteries so it's easy to carry a spare and if needed pop it in if one dies.

For juice check out BlueMist Vaping. They have over 250 juices and super cheap prices, $5 for 10ml, $10 for 30ml. They offer sample packs and I recommend getting a few to start so you can try a bunch for cheap.

Hi carbon. Glad you're here.
I'm a huge kgo fan. Great vapor. Good throat hit. Battery lasts me
1 1/2 - 2 days on a charge.
I got mine from dark city vapors cuz the kit came with cartomizers instead of the atomizer/cartridge setup. Cartomizers are simpler for beginners. Get some Boge LR 2.0 cartomizers & a drip tip with your order. They will throw in some sample juices free too. Then you're good to start your journey.
Good luck & keep comin' back.

I think that kit would do you just fine. I had a similar style battery and they lasted me all day. I was a pack and a half day smoker and I go through 4 to 5 ml a day of juice. If you run dual coils it will drain the battery faster and burn through more juice.

I would grab a tank and some prepunched dual coil cartos and some single coil 1.7 or 2.0 and see what works best.
I have heard a lot of good things about Hoosiers and I have tried their 1.7 and 2.0 prepunched and I liked them. I thought the 2.0 was
better myself.
Just so you know dual coils have the coils stacked one on top of the other so you have to keep the carto filled that much more at all times otherwise you burn your filler and and the taste gets nasty.
As far as juice its a crap shoot of personal taste.

Personally I would pull the trigger on what you got plus cartomizers

Best of luck to ya :)

Thanks for the responses. So the kGo isn't good for a heavy user then? I may need to revamp my decision then. I need something that will last me all day, even if I use it heavily. I guess battery life is a major factor in my purchase. Any suggestions?

No it's actually a very good option. Just don't expect to go all day on one battery. Two will usually do it. That's why just about all kits come with two. If you really must go all day on one battery, you need to be looking at something like an 18650 epower. Personally, I really prefer a device that takes those kinds of generic batteries. There are lots of 18650 devices out there. The thing is they aren't usually packaged as a starter kit. Usually you have to buy the device, the batteries, the charger and anything you want to put on it separately.

Okay, since I'm in the mood, I thought I'd just see what I came up with for a 18650 setup for a beginner.

To start any of the mods at Parkes vaping: $25

Two AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh: $21.90
At the same site TrustFire TR-001: $11.99

Then on to Liberty Flights
5 pack 510 LF Cartomizers: $9.99
2 Joye 510 Atomizers: $13.98
and your choice of these 510 / 901 drip tips: $2.49
Click the discount code at the top and get a code good for 20% off at Liberty flights. So total is: $21.17

That comes to a total of $80.06 without shipping and juice. That's more than you were planning on spending but, if you really want to make sure you have everything you need and you want to go a full day on one battery that's what it takes.

That said, you have a charger that can be used to charge just about any 3.7 V battery for a mod. So it'll probably be useful for other things later. You also have the best and safest batteries out there.

That's probably a better start than any kit you will find out there for what you've said you want but, it's pricier.

I just want to say thanks to all who have helped me so far. I can't wait to finally make a decision and go for it but there are so many options its overwhelming. Looks like I need to do some more research before I make my final purchase.

Ugh....these analogs are killing me, I hope I can make up my mind soon.

Thanks again for everyone's help so far, I really need it.
