Help.stupid new taste buds!!!

Okay,
Hope this has happened to everyone.I started out vaping earlier this month.Got the bloog.Got the bloog reds and 555 pre-filled cartomizers.Pretty darn happy with the 555 cartomizers.Ordered some blank cartomizers from bloog at the same time.Next week bought some juice from a local store,turkish blend and cappucino-put it in the blank carts and kinda yuck plastic aftertaste.No problem,still had some 555 and red pre-filleds left from initial bloog order.
After really reading up here in the posts,and yes I know that taste is relative and individual,I ordered some really reputable juice and got pretty excited when it came in yesterday.Filled up some CE2 cartomizers and YUCK,can't seem to like any of them.The 555 isn't even close.Everything is just tasting weird and not pleasant.Of course now I can't stand the taste of a regular analog anymore so I am feeling some panic.
What is going on with my taste buds people.Most of the flavors I ordered were tobacco flavors,except the blueberry which tastes weird too.Has this happened up front to any other relatively new users in the beginning?Should I just switch over to some off the wall non tobacco flavors.
I feel like I am starting to have to spend alot to find the juice that gets it for me.How long does that usually take.Are there any juices exactly like bloog 555 that I can put in my CE2 cartomizers.
I have just considered a big order of bloog pre-filled 555's to hold me over until I can find the right juices.
Just not sure what is going on.

This has happened to most of us at one time or another. It still happens to me after five months of vaping every once in awhile. When you stop analogs and start vaping your taste buds are kinda going through a change. It is not you beleive me. They will come back and will probably go out again from time to time. You are just learning to retaste things My advice to you would be to drink plenty of water (a biggie) brush your teeth and scrub your tongue too. I would keep trying juices and switching off to find one you can taste. One thing you might try is adding a little menthol to your uices I know it has helped me. Also try coffee flavors if you like them I know I read a thread on this issue awhile back and saw this advice and tried it. Worked for me. Ohter than that just hang in there your taste buds will come back

That burning plastic taste is a bit of a mystery. Many folks claim they know what it is, but they can't all be right. I've gotten it from bad liquid and attys from starter kits. If the liquid is bad, you can't save it. If the atty is the source, you can try cleaning (a lot harder with cartomizers) but you can usually just vape through it. It took me a couple of days to vape it out of the starter kit attys. Bottom line, it's not normal for the tobacco flavored liquid to taste like that.

Good luck to you, a lot of people run into that problem when first starting out. I almost stopped because of it, glad I toughed it out.

555's vary widely as do RY4's or any other flavor you can name, but especially flavors like 555 and RY4 that are complex flavors.

Lots of places just sell the Chinese Dekang juices and those can even vary from batch to batch. I think Vapor4Life's WOW 555 is overdone. Some are very nutty and not sweet at all, some are hardly nutty and very sweet, some are weak, some are strong, etc.

You can try to vape unflavored for awhile until your tastebuds get cleaned up. Maybe just a couple of drops of your flavored liquid in it.
You'll be able to get the nic. in you and you can focus on finding the best equipment that works for you. It's extremely inexpensive and has a mild sweet vanilly taste to it. It's my all day vape.

The best advice I can think to give you would be to look for a vendor that does sample packs and order one of those, that will let you try a bunch of juices and then you can order a larger bottle of those. I made the mistake when I first started of mostly buying larger bottles and now I have a bunch of bottles of juice im unlikely to ever use which is basically wasted money. on the other hand a bottle of juice costs about as much as 3 packs of cigs so in the end its still worth it.

Lots of good advice posted above, I agree with most of it.

I've only got almost 3 weeks in now, and my buds were down for the count during most of the first week.

I wasn't freaked out, I was more...irritated...by it.

What I did was order some 2x flavored juice so I could taste something, and I'm still using that juice even though I can taste juices far better now.

I'm sure they have a long way to go still, but it's already much better than it was.
I agree with the thorough teeth and tongue brushing and hydration, I do it every day.
Yes, you just have to Hang In There, It Will Get Better!

If you can hang, you don't Have to do anything except have some patience and know it won't last too long, or you can order some extra flavor juice, it does help.

I am wondering if it is not the blank cartomizers. I just received a box of blank cartomizers from Bloog last week and tasted the same thing. I thought it was the juice so I filled another one with a different flavor and two three puffs and that nasty burning plastic taste is there. I have tried three carts from that pack that are all tasting the same no matter what I load it with.

I was wondering too if it is your equipment. I've had some cartomizers that have a much stronger "filler-y" taste that is kinda plastic like. I haven't actually toasted one enough to get burning plastic but you can definitely taste the filler more in some than others and it's not particularly yummeh.

And as a bonus, clearos can *also* taste of burnt plastic, I know mine do when they get even a little warm. Hence why they are gathering dust in a drawer...

But, eh, yes it could be you as well. But the specificness of what you're tasting- burnt plastic- makes me wonder if it's not really the problem. When your tastebuds protest you don't really taste *anything* out of most liquids, or at least that's what happened to me for a couple days. Everything just tastes pretty bland except for, like, hardcore cinnamon flavors or strongly minty things.

I would think the blanks say MF V2 on them if so you should be fine as they are the new blanks. I have had times my fav juice just did not taste all that great to me then after trying somthing like apple for a day went back and everything was fine. I know most people up here wont just say try this juice you will like it as i kinda want somebody to tell me. I would just tell you that having alot of juices is the best way to get past this and i like to fill my prefills up with juice a good way to know if its the blanks or the juice/ taste buds is have some cartos that you enjoy then fill them with a new juice when they get dry if you like that then try that same juice in the blank problem solved. I will say that i love tribecca from halo if you like ry4 from bloog you will love this.

Same thing happened to me kept trying new Flavours which were great for a couple of days then seemed to lose the flavour,I tried a really strong flavour Absinthe (love it) but even that started to lose the flavour,whatever atties carts etc I used !!!
Finally worked it out and ordered a very different strong Citrus flavour,I now swap over flavours every couple of days and that seems to work for me ;o)

It may be a combination,I think.I went ahead and refilled some of my bloog 555 with some usa juice and I can still taste a little of the 555 in there so I guess I'll toot on that until I can get some more 555 in.Also I think the clearos are giving me some plastic taste-hate I bought two packs but still better than smoking.Third,I think I'm just tasting everything so much more that it all seems like too much.I do really enjoy the bit of nuttiness I'm getting at the end of the bloog 555 cart so any juice just like that out there I really would love to know about.Otherwise,I'm gonna look into some coffee flavours.I don't have any of the new juices that have that nut taste at the end.Has anybody ordered something nutty or peanut butter and added that to tobacco flavors.I know it sounds crazy,but anyone out there done it?

Another thing to look at is how often are you taking hits. The atty gets quite hot if you are hitting quite often with big hits and the hot-ness could be melting something or at least causing a build up of burnt juice on the atty leading to the bad taste.

I have tried all of bloogs tabacco juice and if you like 555 you might like prime 15 from halo they sent me a sample not sure if its up for sale yet but it will help you with the cost of the prefill from bloog. I have been told that bloog will have there juice lineup in a few weeks so keep a check on that.

I havn't tried the Bloog 555, but the 555 from FreedomSmokeUSA is a fantastic nutty/sweet flavor, kinda reminds me of roasted nuts / sweet cappuccino-ish flavor.

It has become my favorite all day vape.

I do kinda chain vape.Just like I smoked analogs.I went ahead and ordered some more 555 cartomizers from bloog since I'm happy with the flavor.That will give me more time to search for another flavor that is pleasing.I guess I should be happy I have at least that one that I really do like.I really want mostly to not relapse back into smoking analogs. That is why I kinda panicked.Not liking the new juice or clearomizers together with no bloog pre-filled cartomizers left!
I also read that if I let some of these juices sit I might care for their taste later.So there is hope for the juices....eventually...maybe.Elsewise I think I will try the previous post on the one similar to bloogs 555 and hope bloog gets a boogey on their juices being available soon to consumers like me. Would love for someone to give a firm date on that!
I did go ahead and toot completely dry one of the bloog cartomizers then ripped the filling out.Nothing,not even one little scorch mark anywhere on it.Quite happy to see that not happening.Now if they get in some juice I have plenty of cartomizers to refill!

Random advice. Try overfilling the cartos on the first fill, then blow out excess juice from the threaded end. May help
