I bought the ceramic wicks 1.75 x 1/8 thinking they would fit my AGA-T2 but they are a bit too long. Does anyone know a quality rebuildable that they will fit? I wanted to buy another rebuildable anyway so I just as well get one to fit the ceramic wicks.

I broke one of the wicks while trying to put the top on the T2. I was extremely disappointed until I found that two of the pieces were the right length to use in my Phoenix rebuildable so at least the broken one won't go to waste. In fact I'm using it now but will reserve judgment for a couple days as I understand it takes a while to break them in.

I just crimped a little at a time off the end with a pair if pliers till I got it where I wanted, worked great. Just be careful not to put pressure on the rest of the wick when doing it. I held it as close to the end as I could when crimping and it went smooth. There's many other ways to do it, dremel and cutting wheel is another method. It's not that difficult if you're careful and don't try to go to fast.

They are the perfect size for the AC9 and I believe they were made with that atty in mind. They are a perfect fit for it.
