Hello everyone.

i posted a thread in the new member forum about this but thought i'd post in the more specific area just in case.
i got some really good advice on how to actually use the thing (i would have messed up otherwise)
my clearo is still in the mail (will get later on today) the thing is i forgot to order replacement coils at the time (have done now, but that still leaves a few days before they arrive) and if i mess up the one that comes with the clearo and ruin it, i'll be stuck
so someone said i could always go to a local b&m shop to get one just in case but the few that i know about don't have much stock and i doubt they'd have specific "aspire bdc coils"
so the question is: can i (in a pinch) use any bdc coil or are can you use ONLY aspire brand bdc coils?

if so, and i mess up, i'll really be tested to see if my now 6 day abstinence from analogs will hold for those few days before the coils arrive. please don't let me have to test my resolve!!!

thanks for any help in advance

The only thing I can see you having a problem with is getting a DOA head. Other than that there isn't much you can do to ruin it. To answer your question you can only use Aspire BDC heads in Aspire BDC clearos. And another word of advice. Always order in pairs so you have a back-up. I always order 2, 4, 6, etc at a time.

ah okay, good, i feel better
i'd just read that you could possibly burn them out (whatever that means) if you don't wait long enough for the wick to get soaked, and then the coil will be ruined.
but if it's not that easy to ruin them, i think i'll be good.
if all else fails i have my cheap cig-a-like to tide me over til the replacements get here
thank you (both of you) for your help

and yes garemlin, from now on, back up back up back up!

thanks again!

You'll be fine. Fill and let it sit upright for a few minutes to let the juice soak in. Then do a couple of hard puffs (primer puffs) without firing the atomizer. Then try it out, just firing a second or two each time. If it's still dry, take a couple more primer puffs. As long as you only fire it for a second or two, you won't burn out the coil. Once it's wet and vaping good, you're good to go.

Fill it, let it sit for about 10 minutes, take a few unpowered primer puffs and you will be good to go. As long as you are not using uber thick juices these heads should last a minimum of 2 weeks. I have got a month out of them.
