I've have tried to attach a quit banner to my signature and keep getting the following message!!!

You have included a total of 2 images and/or videos in your message. The maximum number that you may include is 1. Please correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code tag, and HTML <img> tags. Videos are included with the BB code [video] tag. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.

Can someone help me out????

Thanks

Steef

Try this

First load your banner in one of the spaces provided
a. paste the pics url if it is uploaded somewhere else
b. find the file on your computer and upload it

after you add your banner

go back to settings and edit signature

you will see
Code:
 [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

then use your bb code
Code:
[url=] [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC][/url]

That should work.. let me know if it doesn't

Thanks LGD,
Let me explain exactly what I'm doing!!! I'm clicking on someones banner in any post.... Clicking on it and it directs me to the banner generator...
Put in my numbers, then click generate..... Gives me a bb and a html code... Paste the code in the signature block and the error message comes up...
The banner is there but with the error message.... I've tried them both (bb & html) in the signature panel with the same results....

I'm not sure that what I did is approved by the banner creators, but here it is ...

On that banner creation page: Once you click 'create banner', there should be a display of what your banner will look like. You can Right click that and from the dropdown menu select 'copy image location' (or similar wording), then use the Image insertion tool
insertimage.png
in your signature editor, and paste that image location in. It's a work around you might try. :2cool:

I don't know why the BB code didn't work for you though.

Oh, looks like GeoDuck beat me to it, LOL. Good luck, and vape ON!

Here's something you can do to help analyze the problem. Go to your Settings > Edit Signature:
In the top right of the editor window you'll see the switch to change editor mode from WYSIWYG to Coding. The switch looks like this
switchmode.png

When not in WYSIWYG mode, my current signature looks like this:

ECFCP1.gif

--- Notice there are only three lines of code. That's all that is allowed. And blank lines DO count.

Please take a look at your code.

NCC, you should really save your banner (to your computer, Imgur, Photobucket, etc) and not link your sig directly from someone's website. In addition to using their bandwidth (that they pay for), you are leaving yourself open to losing your image if their website goes down.

Saving it as it is now would result in a static (unchanging) banner. Each time it is loaded, the signature calls on the web site and is updated. That's the way it works whether you use the BB code provided, or if you embed it the way I have.

Oh, and no need for an image hosting service here. :) I brought my own, which I pay for. As in, the image I embedded in post #11. But, your point is taken for those without their own web host. Although most ISPs provide web space ... don't know why people don't use that space instead of photobucket or other such service.

But, I've taken the banner out ... less than 24 hours after I added it. I haven't found one yet which allows enough variables to be accurate.
