I'm not so into the stupid blue light on the end of my battery. I'd like to clip a wire but I don't want to break it (and the search didn't give me any thing useful). There are three wires red, green, and black.
It's very hard to hook my DMM up to it wile taking a drag so I was hoping someone had figured what each wire did. Since there are three wires I'd geuss one is for flash (low bat), one for light on, and one neg. If possible I'd like to leave the flash working.
Thanks!
If no one know I guess I'll have to train my dog to take a drag....

I seem to be talking to myself here, but now that I've torn it down it seems the bat puts out about 4.0v were as with a controller it only puts out 3ish. So I might be on to something here. I'm just afraid of running it too low (that's quite dangous with li ion's if you didn't know). I'm also afraid there may be an over charge protector of some kind in them, but I think the charging unit take care of that.
I was able to take a few drags off of it by crossing some wires. Much better hit than the normal one. It will also charge with the wires crossed. I'll have to put some pic's up. I'm sure someone wants to see what's inside of one of these with out destroying their own.

Well it's like less playing with fire and more like playing with an explosion in my face. I'm going to save the parts for stuff. The bat had a good charge on it pre mishap, so i'm not worried about storing it. The tube I have already wired into a USB cord. Works well, but holding two little wires together is a less than desirable switch. I'm sure I can find something better in my junk piles.

ah crap I just busted it. Poking around to my DMM i shorted out something and a little puff of smoke came out and it started heating up so I cut the red wire (which seems to have prevented it from heating up farther) but now it doesn't work or charge.

You let the magic smoke out. There's your problem.
