I've had Picos since they first came out... love them. $26 you can not find a better mod. I have 3 of them. They have firmware updates as well. The new update even has a power boost. There will always be a place in my heart for the nautilus line..the Nautilus mini was the tank that got me off smoking.

Wait... what? I didn't know about a power update. What does this do?

Do you mean the preheat function for TC?

It's a boost. You can set the wattage at whatever you want to fire at from .1 seconds up to 2 seconds then it backs down to your regular set temp. Good for claptons and bigger coils. Heats them up quickly so there really is no delay to heat up.

Ok. That's what I thought it was. I have vers 1.03 on my three Picos. I thought there was a 1.04 or something and I'd missed the memo.

I have a Smok G-Priv which is a touch screen and I think it is the greatest thing out there. So tired of the clicking away.
It comes with the big baby beast tank which is 25mm. Unfortunately I've seen a few people who have problems with them and they won't work. Also there are problems with the tank you may know about. You can find the Smok G-Priv for $20 less than what I paid for it. The vaporizer has been working great for me, no problems at all. I have 3 big baby beast tanks for it and all have been converted to RBA tanks by buying a RBA deck. They have new chipsets out there but at the prices they are asking for them I'd want a touch screen.

I've been thinking of getting a g-priv myself but i've heard alot of bad from the reliability of this mod, have you had any issues ? Or is it even worth buying these days (specially since there's tons of new touchscreen mods in existance)

Delasolbaltimore,

Congrats on choosing a vape. I have that kit as my backup kit and I really like it with the exception of non-removable batteries, which is why it is my backup kit. I love how light it is and the form factor in my hand, and my purse is so full I was looking for something light and bulletproof and I think aspire does that very well. I like my zelos enough that I vape it at home on occasion to switch up flavors.

Congrats!

What's your primary?

I guess for now I'm ok with the internal batteries, I'm sure in a few months I will get something else. I'm saving my hammy downs for my husband and mom lol. Husband is going to quit next month hopefully (smoking ciggarettes)

He thinks vaping is hard because I had trouble with the eleaf then with coils burning quick... I told him I'm working out all the kinks for him!

I had an IPV-5 mod first, that was gifted to me by my son when he quit vaping (5 mo, still going strong, he's the Bomb) and that thing is indestructible. I dropped it many, many times, and I have to say it's a total workhorse. Fairly heavy and ugly as sin. Kind of middle of the road as far as features/build, but the cockroaches will be vaping that thing, IMO.

I replaced it (once I quit smoking, which cased health gains and med reductions, and my fine motor tremor went away, and I became less clumsy) with what I really LOVE, a Steampunk Nano Tesla 120 mod. It's supremely heavy, but I actually like that in a vape I'm using on a daily basis, as I'm less likely to knock it over/have it fall. I think I've dropped it badly ONE time, and it was fine. That said, I did put a thick, rubber sleeve on it for protection and to also help with the battery issue (I have to say of everything I've vaped, the steampunk vape was SO much smoother, better, and it is reported to have decent TC, which I was interested in) but the battery door on the steampunk could have done with a better design. The sleeve keeps the batteries in place though it's not pretty like the mod is. Though, I really LOVE knowing how pretty it is, and the quality of the vape alone would have hooked me, too... I'd recommend one, but I'd also recommend looking at one and holding it to see if it's for you. But if/when you make the jump to a removable battery mod, that's one I actually got a backup on as I love it so much. But, that's just me, and I'm not looking for any crazy cloud production or battery life (though at between 7--10.5 watts, I get great battery life on my nautilus 2.) The whole setup looks.... Well, its not pretty.

When my new tank arrives (titanium Kabuki, I am boasting already :) ) I will probably put it on the silver steampunk I have without a sleeve and just admire it for days, but for me functionality does usually top form factor, it just so happens that one of the prettier things out there is the best vape (for me, right now).

I'm using the Nautilus 2 tank with the .7 coil on my Alien. I'm loving it. Coils last about a week or more and sips juice not guzzling. I vape on 18- 22 watts. Stopped smoking 2 weeks. The baby beast that came with the Alien I hated. The Nautilus 2 is a mouth to lung tank and feels more like a cigarette.

so I have a smok 22 and ileaf1

The Ileaf1 doesn't work it was like sucking juice through a straw (it gurgled) then it stopped I cleaned it out and replaced the coil twice

The smok 22 I'm burning through coils every 3-4 days using not too dark or sweet juice

I don't feel like learning to build my own coils right now

I'm not a cloud chest and I just quit smoking so most interested in mouth to lung

Any input would be appreciated

Myself I've had no problems with the Smok but I've heard a few people say it didn't give the right resistance and they couldn't use it. For me it was a big thing, the tanks I had couldn't use SS coils and the tank came with SS coils and it worked well. I did have a small problem with the tank leaking and just put more cotton in the inlet holes. I switched to RBA decks in the tanks fairly quickly. I think the touch screens failed, not seeing new ones being added and the new DNA's don't include them.

You can't deny that alot of vape shops will try and sell you stuff you don't need at ridiculous prices like the example he gave us, sometimes they even pressure you into buying (happened to me on my 2nd shop). I myself don't mind paying a bit more if i feel satisfied from the services i get but paying twice the price is plain ridiculous. Although i mostly do like you and buy only juices and coils tbh i'll probably buy my next mod online if i can't find competitive prices.
The Smok T Priv was 104 bucks in vape shop, got it on line for 57 bucks
Best mod I ever bought

I was out of town visiting my sister last month and she wanted to run in to one of those strip mall places that sell vaping products. She's looking around for a set up to replace cigs. As it turned out I had just gotten my Joyetech Elitar Pipe in the mail from China that I had paid $19 for. Now, that's a ridiculously low price for the thing. It was part of a sale (I think) and I got an extra discount for making an account on the seller's website as well. But as we were walking around and looking at the shelf at this place what do you think I saw? The exact same device for $70. The guy saw my face light up when I saw it and went into the sales pitch so I said in a very loud voice, "Yeah! It's a great mod! I bought one online from China for nineteen dollars!" His face went white, lol. And then I went through his inventory giving the pros and cons of each of his mods and tanks, and compared his marked prices with regular online prices, and explained to my sister which ones would be good or bad for her if she did want to buy from him. He did have a T Priv on the shelf but he wouldn't tell me what he was charging for that.

Yeah that's why i called all the vape shops nearby to me and compared all the prices with online ones. Do have to keep in mind that stores will always sell higher priced since they have to make money on the stuff they sell that's just how it works. But seing a 19$ mod at 70$..... Yeah kinda like the guy i asked about the 220w alien who told me they sold it for like 130$ xD i was like yeah no thx lmao

I don't mind a reasonable margin for convenience, but I'm not a fan of markup/rebranding etc. That's just taking advantage of new vapers who may not have done much research. I really think some suppliers would do better if they rethought their marketing tactics. I mean, if you sell a new vaper a DL product that's completely complicate, overwhelming, and difficult, yeah, they may buy a bit more juice for that first month... Only to give up on vaping because a store owner didn't stop to take the time for some education/assistance.

Personally, I would rather have a dedicated vaper who comes in regularly for *less* juice and has a good relationship with the B&M in an ongoing way than someone who gives up because the vendor was trying to make a quick buck. It's sad really.

I had a problem with a vaporizer I bought online and before returning it I brought to a vape shop, they were knowledgeable and were able to show me that it worked okay. Very pleasant during the whole process which I appreciated. I bought a few small things to be nice. Prices on there vaporizers were marked up a fair amount but they have to pay overhead and pay the employees.

If it were me, Eleaf 40w, Nautilus 5ml or Nautilus 2. 40w more than enough power, internal battery, easy to navigate, solid workhorse, pocket and purse friendly. Nautilus reliable and easy to aquire coils (buy authentic), good flavor. Keep it simple for now. Under 100.00.
That's the answer I was looking for. Thanks!
