Hello I just bought a vision ego stardust from cignot and I'm having some issues with it, any adivce would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting tons of vapor from it but the flavor is quite muted and tastes burnt and like plastic... its a disposable and LR. I've done a ton of research on here as well as google and tried everything. I have it on a 650mah ego battery that came with the ego-c kit from cignot.

In my experience, clearos are more like tanks than cartos, and the flavor can be muted in these. That's just my experience from one kind of tank and one pack of clearos compared to the Boge cartos I've been using for a year. If your vapor output is really good, I'd say short of getting a variable v/w device or a different brand of clearo, you might not be able to get better flavor. If you weren't getting good vapor either, then I'd ask if you've modded the clearo, cutting the wick slots to make them larger, fluffed the wicks, etc. but that doesn't seem to be your issue.

There are several options that you may want to play with. The stardust is a Clearomiser as you know, ViVi Novas, Kanger T2 and T3, CE4, CE5 are also clearomisers. Some create different vape experiences based on location of the coils, the resistance rating of the coils, and thype of wick material. This is the biggest challenge. Phil B has a new utube instructional review on his web site tastemyjuice.com. You need to watch it.

You may be having issues with the resistance not matching up with your voltage on the stardust. This will create burn taste. You may have burnt the wick already by not having a proper prime on the wick. Very difficult to know.

Try to turn your ecig before each cycle of steam, spray for better wick with liquid. If you have a PV VV, try lowering the voltage

@graybuck I wasn't sure how to prime the thing I kinda just filled it up and started vaping away andthe taste was just terrible its going away a little bit over time however. I was hpoing I didn't burn it up but kinda was assuming I did. Is there like some kinda break in period for them?
@kfrisbee I'm not sure I wana deal with cartos and having to keep refilling them all the time especially when the tanks last me pretty much all day and I just have to clean em once a week or so.
@everyone thanks for the help with everything I'm not gonna give up on clearos I'm just gonna have to keep trying em out and find something that works for me I guess lol I've considered the vivi nova and may have to check those out thanks again!

Hi, I had the same problem with a cheapy cleromiser it was just like vapeing plastic like you said. I couldnt get it to work so threw it out and bought a vivi nova clero. I think I didnt let the clero wick properly and I didnt put a couple of drops on the top of the silicone cap to prime it first. I have no probs with cleros now and its my main delivery system as I find dripping and tanks just too fiddly for my lifestyle. I use 100% Vg and that can mute flavours but the vivi novas seem to cope fine. Also I tend to start off with a very low 3.2 on my twist and then just pump up the volume slowly to find the best spot for a particular juice if you start too high with LR and it burns you are done. :)

Hi bigberk,
You didn't burn it out, and it might be as simple as China left something nasty in there. Sometimes its necessary to clean this stuff before first use.
