I've been dripping for about a year, but I've recently fell in love with the Nautilus. Taking a short vacation from dripping right now.:) This is the first I've heard of the BVC. I'll definitely be looking into them. Are they any easier to rebuild than the standard Nautilus coils??

These bvc are extremely if not impossible to rebuild I would suggest not trying lol

Thanks for the heads up! Think I'll try em out anyway, and see what the guts look like. If they're too difficult to rebuild they may be worth it anyway, going by the comments I'm just discovering on them.

to ecf MIke Geaney . So glad you are here. I always used the 1.8 but honestly I doubt I could tell the difference if I vaped them side by side. Some of the more experienced may. I started out on the ego style myself. Then decided that I preferred box mods. The MVP2 is wonderful. Easy to use and very dependable. I am glad I have it as a backup. Good luck to you and don't hesitate to ask anything here. Always some friendly person willing to help you anyway they can. That is what makes ecf so special. Happy vaping to you. :)

Same sentiments here, welcome to ECF Mlke. You definitely made the right choice by coming here. Anything, I mean really anything you want to know, someone here has been there done that, and happy to impart their knowledge to everyone else. Sit back, take a deep vape and keep reading (everywhere on ECF) and you'll be enjoying things tenfold. Promise.

And, as for the ohms question, I'll just chime in and say 1.8 is good, really is, but 1.6 rocks. Ya gotta find what's good for you, and the only way to do that is to experiment and listen to the guidance offered by the fine folks here. Again, welcome, and enjoy your vaping!

I'm no expert on vaping, but let's take a look. Let's assume you are vaping at 10 watts. If so, then with a 1.6 Ohm coil according to Ohms Law, that will give you 2.5 Amps at 4 Volts. With a 1.8 Ohm coil, it would give you 2.357 Amps at 4.242 Volts. So the 1.8 Ohm coil requires more voltage to get the same amperage than a lower Ohm coil. So the 1.6 would be better imo, and take less voltage from your battery.

Thanks rc3po. I ordered both...should have some new gear this week before going on vacation.

You're welcome. I stopped using the carto-tanks because the replacement heads were so worthless. I use a RTA and it's so much better. Every 2 or 3 tanks, I clean my coil and put a fresh cotton wick in it.

"VapingWithVick" also pulled the BVC coil apart and showed the guts quite nicely with an eye toward rebuilding -- though he seemed a little intimidated by what he found?
