so i ordered a beautiful glass tank from highdesertecigs.com with silicone grommets..the problem is i can't get the cartomizer to insert in the top of the tank..i tried taking off the top grommet, inserting the cartomizer..but then can't get the grommet back on...is there a secret to achieving this?? i am afraid to force it...or should i?? thanks in advance

End caps (grommets or otherwise) are normally very very tight when you first get them. They will ease up some over time and use. I've found what helps, is to put alittle bit of juice around the openings where the carto goes through, on both end caps, and to also put alittle juice on the carto itself. This helps it slide better. Also, they make carto tools, which you can put on the open end of the carto to ensure the carto dosen't tear the grommets or O-rings on the tank.

Nice tank! I recently got one from High Desert, too. My red eyed, green tree frog. Cute little fella. :p

I have both the Slap-Yo-Moma and Phiniac tools. They both work well, I just prefer the SYM more as I feel it is a better, user friendly design. These are really essential tools if you use a carto tank that uses 0-rings. The tool protects the o-rings during tank assembly by covering the sharp edge of the carto, and also prevents unwanted juice from entering the carto's air hole during filling.
