Help with IPV Mini?

Hey all long time follower of these forums but just signed up.

I had a question I was hoping that some of you more knowledgeable people could help me out with

Been vaping a few months, about 2 weeks ago I upgraded to an IPV Mini with a tugboat up top. Thing has been working and hitting like a charm for those two weeks but yesterday I noticed something strange.

Usually my voltage and Ohms have been reading at around 3.9v and 0.5 ohms. Recently the numbers have been jumping all over the place and have been getting some strange hits, tugboats been heating up a lot, etc. I usually run the device in DC-DC mode, have double coils build.

I was wondering is this a problem with the coils or what?
Sorry I'm a little bit ignorant when it comes to these kinds of problem solving, any help would be much appreciated!

Vape on!

Do you have any other atty's to test the IPV with? I had this problem with a bad TOBH clone, where the resistance would jump all over the place, causing voltage spikes like crazy. I put my other attys on and never had a problem...

Maybe try cleaning the 510 threading and pins?

Think I might have worked out the problem, one of the screws in the Tugboat was a little loose, it really was a simple solution!

Thanks for your help bud

For others perhaps separate issue

I've had the I've mini a week and it's getting returned. The power delivery and readings are way off for me.

If you Google there's a review which attaches a volt meter you'll see it does nothing under 3.7 correctly. It reads like 3.9 at 3.5 and it fluctuates a lot. Overall between that and a pocket fire due to a build greater than an ohm on top and the mobile power triggering, it's done. Just unreliable and not great.

Switched to the cloupor mini and so far the onky con is chain vaping it gets ever so slightly warm...cloupor is much smaller.
