I'm just wondering, by-the-by, if anyone else has grown frustrated with the poorly translated instructions that came with a Joye 510 PCC?

The PCC I got has TWO lights on the case...not THREE, as intimated in the mind-boggling manual. I can never tell...if the green one is blinking is the battery charging? When the red one AND the green one flashes does that mean that the case AND the battery are charging. If NOTHING is flashing, is everything dead?

The instruction manual makes NO sense, and I'm tired of just plugging the bloody thing in overnight and waiting to see what happens.

Anyone have a similar experience? Got any advice?

I never received a manual with my pcc. Bottom light means pcc is charging, the top light means the battery is charging. I think the middle one is when the pcc is dead. I forget I don't use it anymore. i found it too be too inconsistent.I eventually got fed up with it after my second one and bought an ego. so much happier now and I can use a LR atty.

I'm not familiar with the two light configuration. One of the two lights however should turn red first and then green. I'm guessing that's the light on the bottom. It will indicate the status of the case as it's being charged.

The other light should shine only red and it will likely do one of two things:

Put a dead battery in the charger, if a light comes on then that light indicates the status of the PV battery being charged. It will only illuminate while the device battery is being charged and then goes out when it's done.

If you put a dead battery in the PCC and a light does NOT come on, then that second light indicates the case battery is dead. It will only shine red when the case is dead and needs to be recharged.

PM me if your interested in legible instructions for the THREE light system. I'm guessing yours does exactly the same thing, minus one of the normal indicators.
