Thank you so much for allowing me to join this forum. I have been using my e-cig for about 6 years now. I have used, and love the MVP line of mods. Started with a MVP 2 and graduated to MVP 3. It is a great little mod. The tanks I use are the iclear 30B and the Kanger tech protech 3. I have never had any problems using these two tanks. I just received my new MVP 4. I have been reading the instructions. It sounds like I will have to change to another kind of tank. That is my question. I know it sounds funny but I have a hard time with all the setting. The watts, volts and temp , and what is this "I need to calibrate" this mod? It is like reading Greek. If someone can help me simplify this, in terms that I can understand. And, if I need to change tanks. I am really hoping I won't have to go to some fancy tank because I know how to fill the ones I have been using. Any help or advice you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you again for letting me join this forum. It will be good to have a place where I can ask questions.

Welcome to ECF!

That MVP is very new. There's not much on the web about it yet.

I think what's confusing you is the temperature control feature. That's only to be used with temperature control coils like Nickel, Titanium and Stainless steel. Your tanks use Kanthal coils. You don't need to worry about that. As r77r7r said, just set it to watt mode and then adjust the watts.

You all were right, it was the temp that was throwing me off. Never needed that before. I learned real fast to keep the temp low. Like to have burned my mouth. But if you want a really great vape, the MVP 4 is awesome. I have used MVP 3 for a couple years. e only have to charge it every 3 days. I think this one will be even better. Have a great night and Thanks for your help

I couldn't much info about the MVP 4 but I found this about the Coolfire IV TC I think they both use the same Aethon chipset.

Welcome and glad you joined. Be careful with the mod, very powerful. Your tanks should just be fine, start low and work up to find taste.
