It seems like the battery inside the housing of the ego has a little wiggle room, so the pressure switch may have lost a connection when you dropped it. If you can open battery and solder back on, etc. but from what I see it's a pain and wouldn't attempt at my level of ability :) I would probably cross the wires or something.

I googled, here are some youtubes on taking the battery apart?

i have the ego 1100mah variable voltage, and i was vaping today when i dropped it about 1 foot onto a cardboard box of bandaids. after that the button wasn't working. it charges, but when i press the button down nothing happens. is there anything i can do to fix this???

This happens to me all the time with the twist. Watch the video by slinger that racehorse linked to. The one about pulling the top part of the battery away from the tube.
When your pulling that top part away, do it with the button facing straight down towards the floor. keep it in that position. Just as the top part pulls away, stop, don't pull any further. With the button still facing down, push everything back together. It all lines itself back into position.
