Here's a picture.

Hits pretty great, but is somewhat inconsistent and seems to dry out quickly.

If you could post comparisons, top and side angles, that would be great.

I'd throw just a tad more cotton in there, especially underneath the coils. Also, double check your screws. Make sure they don't wiggle AT ALL. I've had mine start to wiggle a little, and I notice inconsistencies - because the resistance is wonky from incomplete contact on one or both posts.

Looks like a good amount of cotton inside the coils, could possibly even use a little more if the hits feel a little light. I'm not a fan of long legs on my wicks though, I usually keep mine just long enough to touch the bottom of the juice well. I have no scientific backup for this but long tails just seem like a waste to me, you end up tossing long juice soaked wicks away. I think of the wicks kind of like a trough:

\__||||__/ short wick
\__________||||__________/ long wick

Put 10 drops in that short wick and it's all going to the coil(||||), put 10 drops in the long wick and it will spread out along the entire wick. The drawback to a short wick is you have to be conscious of it, over drip and you have to tilt your vape so the coils aren't flooded, and if you have juice in your well and your air holes point down, it will leak.

Sounds like a Reo would fix this problem. Good thing mine is on the way.

Until then, I guess I'll just fool around with it.

Those long legs are where juice goes to die. It's taken me a while to figure out the right amount of cotton for me. For a single coil, I put a small amount through the coil, but not tight, as to choke the coil. Then I make a nice bed underneath and to the side of the coil - but keep it all on the same side as the coil.
