I ordered a DIY Coil Master Kit and some 26guage a1 Kanthal. All I can do is try!!!!
The Coil Master makes it sooooo easy! There are many youtube videos for that too, and I believe SuperX has a vid of it too.

Really good choice!!! You'll love the RM2. Gives SUPERB Flavor, Taste, and Vapor. You'll love it!

Also a good choice. That Coil Master has burst out of no where, and has quickly become the #1 tool in building coils. Super_X absolutely hated the thing in his first video, but gave it another try weeks later. He now uses it all the time!

Congrats :) Way to go :). Just keep in mind that 26 ga wire is a wire best suited for fairly low resistance builds. I don't know what your target resistance (ohms) are but for starters (with that wire) I'd suggest the 2.5mm rod on the coil master and go at least 10 winds. That will probably put you at right about 1.0 ohms (just guessing). I'd have recommended starting with something like 29 or 28 gauge and starting with 8 winds.

The heat up time on 26 ga is a little longer - which is good because once it gets fully heated up its pretty hot so unless you take pretty massive pulls, you won't experience it's fury but it also takes a while to cool down. It likes a lot of air IMO.

What do you plan to wick with?

Oh, and here's something everyone should know when rebuilding (don't be scared - it really is easy stuff when you apply common sense. :)

if I can rebuild, anyone can cause I'm kinda lacking in the patience / skill area :)

You've gotten lots of great advice from the naughts'. You can't go wrong if you follow Russ' (super_X_drifter) videos. My advice to anyone new to rebuildables is to read up on how to do it safely before even starting. I'm not trying to scare you but learn about what can go wrong and then go from there. It is easy and even fun if you just follow a few simple rules for safety. Over time, you'll find your sweet spot. Happy vaping!

Just wanted to let you all know, I built my first coil. 28 guage kanthal 2.5 ml coil master, 6 wraps it came in at 1.0. Didn't think I could do it. My RM2 I don't have yet. It is waiting for me at work. Did it on a manger sub tank mini. Thanks to all.
It seems to be working good.

Congrats on your purchase ! Let us know how you end up making out. I started on the RM2 and that's the one I still use. Cartomizers did me good for 4 years on my Reo Prior.

The little joy I had making the coils at first is gone though for me personally. I am ready to start purchasing these bags of pre built coils.

I'm single but I don't know what in the world you guys tell your significant others when you are tinkering with your coils.

I did manage to get it all together, after trying a few times. coil came in at 1.1 using 28gauge and 2.5ml post. Much better than the cartos, just doesn't seem like the flavor is there. am using KGD cotton. any suggestions.

Would you be able to post pictures a top view and a front view of the built atomizer - that will make it much easier to help dial it it :)
