hello :)
from reading lots and some good advice from here (the us side i think), i bought a riva 510 to replace my elites. went to set up the 510 this morning and there's no screw in thingy for the battery, just the empty plastic tubes. i thought everything was included in the starter kit - the write up certainly suggested all i needed was eliquid and it was good to go :(

could anyone tell me what i need to get please to make my riva 510 fit for its purpose?

also, any links to how i can refil an elites cartridge with the eliquid to tide me over please?

thank you :)

It appears you are missing atomisers, which heat the liquid drawn from the cartridges. Every cartridge based ecig kit should have them, but they are also strangely missing in the item description on the vendor's website. I would contact the vendor to get a pair as part of this kit so that it is functional. Good luck!

i've sent an email but not heard back yet. no contact phone number either :( tried to refill an e-lite with the liquid i bought but not working very well. trying to resist the temptation to go out and buy stinky fags :(

Added to all the above, that's just an old style mini 510 & not a Riva kit at all :(

Floop this is an atomiser & you should have got them with your kit -

Riva Atomiser - The Vape Store | E-Liquids, Electronic Cigarettes & Vaping Supplies

:( more money wasted then :( really thought giving up the stinkies would save me some money but i've spent so much on useless c*ap it would be cheaper to smoke.

popped to the petrol station and found a cheapy one called 'litejoy' and i must say, its way better than elites.

The one you have got from them isn't a Riva, it's just a mini 510. Plus you would be far better off using cartomisers with it, rather than atomisers & cartridges. You are going to be constantly refilling the cartridges & as the battery is on 280mAh, (oK better than your e-lite) it's still going to need to be recharged often.

The Riva kit I linked to from vape Escape, has an 1100 mAh battery - the higher the mAh, the longer the battery lasts between recharges.

Floop, Danny from The Vape store isn't a member here, so he has asked me to link to his thread on AAE-C -

The Vape Store Offers/Product Updates Thread! Ego 900 Kit! | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK

IMHO, due to their misdescription, you shouldn't have to "give it a go" & if you prefer, you should get a full refund, including return postage.

thank you chrissie. i'll have a look at the thread in a mo.
just had an email saying ^^^ and i think i will send it back as i was actually googling a riva 510 when i found that one on their site - which sadly isn't actually a riva 510. gahhhh its a minefield!! all i want to do is charge the thing up and refill it with liquid when its empty - simple eh........

Floop, it was a very bad "typo" on their behalf so I'm sure they will be more than happy to give you a full refund including return postage if they actually want it back :)

thank you so much for helping to clear this up for me. thought i was going everso slightly mad this morning when i looked at it....... i'll be posting it back tomorrow :)

now to order one i can actually use!!! the stress of all this is making me want a cigarette. not good!!
