Help with RY4

Hello, so I got a 120ml Ry4, and I hate it :( well that is really a strong word, I just don't like it much, I have had it for well over a week now and it just don't seem to get any better.

I had bought some previously some where else (think its a china juice?) and it was rich and carmely and yummy. and figured that FSUSA would even be better, but it is just really harsh to me and ashy.

what can I mix with it to tone it down and sweeten it up? I was thinking Hopscotch?

would really love some help, seems like a real waste to have 120ml of something that I can not use.

Thanks..

LOL at YOU guys! hehe I expected that though :)

this was definatly my thought after having some other ry4 and loving it and reading about how good FSUSA's is.

the date on it is 11/22/10 it is 30mg nic (I have been going between 24 and 36) in a 120ml bottle, I got it from the last 120ml bottle sale that got delayed because they were waiting on an ingredient, (hmm maybe they missed putting it in mine) it was pretty dark in color and really has not changed but slightly darker. Just tried it again and not any sign of sweetness or caramel to me, kinda taste the way people have been describing PureCig, like licking an ashtray LOL. I can handle it ok maybe on the days that I lose my taste buds really bad ..... just not at all what I was expecting,

Thanks for the replies :)

I find it very odd that you could describe FSUSA's RY4 as harsh and ashy. To me it's an unmistakable, incredibly deep and rich caramel taste. It makes me think there's something a little "off" going on.

What nic level is it?

What color was it when you first got it?

Did it change color after a week?

I've tried 20 different RY4's in the last year of vaping. By far, FSUSA is the most flavorful, and rich tasting RY4 I've ever had. That being said, it's not a traditional RY4...it’s essentially the polar opposite of a Dekang RY4.

Not sure steeping will help...you may want to use it as a flavor enhancer to a basic tobacco vap.

If I were you, I would try mixing hopscotch with it. I just filled a carto with hopscotch that had RY4 in it (still about half full). It definitely made it sweeter. I wonder if the higher mg. of nicotine have anything to do with it not tasting caramely? Not sure... I use 12 mg.

hmm, maybe I will order a sample of it and see if it is the same, just make sure something didn't get messed up. but other than that mixing it with hopscotch or caramel seems to be ok, not great but doable,

as far as the nic content goes i have others that are different nic mg and they really don't taste different from each other.

kinda makes me sad but I will live, Lots and lots of other flavors to try, and I am really loving Wyatt Earp! bout out of my sample...

You have other FSUSA ry4? And they taste fine to you? But this one lacks the same flavor as the others you have? Have you emailed them about it? Try that first.

Oh I'm sorry, I miss spoke a bit, I have "other" flavors that are not ry4 LOL two of the same flavor but different nic and they don't differ from each other in taste. sorry bout the confusion.

trading it off is an option I have though about, I would like to give it a bit more time and see what happens, maybe my tastes will change as they already have a couple of times. just wanted so much to like it because I like the other vendors version so well. (but will not order again for other reasons)

I may try some ry5 but in a sample size, may be more to my taste, who knows. either way, It's all good. Im just happy to be off the anologs!

Down to the last 1/4 of a 60ml bottle of RY4 I've had for about two months. Love this stuff. David sent me a sample of RY5 with the order and it's VERY similar, just sweeter. I'd describe it as having a more malty aftertaste, which is good.

I find the RY4 to be pretty similar to the Wyatt Earp, it's just the back flavor. They all have the same tobacco opening, Wyatt Earp ends in more of a cherry flavor, RY4 coffee/toffee, RY5 is RY4 with more sweetness.

All good, I definitely don't find any of them to be ashy or like "licking an ashtray". Taste is subjective but those kind of comments lead me to think there was some kind of mixing problem, as they're just that off the mark of what the flavor profile is.

I didn't care for RY4 when I first got it either...but I decided to let it steep because I just knew there had to be something to all the hype. After two months of steeping, I find it absolutely delicious, though not something I can vape all day. The flavor changes dramatically after steeping it for a long time. It's got a sweet savoryness to it now that I just love. Just my $.02.

I LOVED Ry4 from another vendor. So in the last 120ml sale, I ordered 120ml of ry4 24mg. It was definitely not what I was expecting. So I put some in smaller bottles to steep and shut the rest away. I've been going pretty steadily at the small bottles now, and though it doesn't taste like the other Ry4 that I had, I'm definitely addicted to this one. It's starting to yet the caramel-y flavor...
