Hey guys. I am rebuilding my ViVi Nova Mini right now. I just got the SS 400 mesh wick and 32awg wire in the mail. I just wanted to see if someone who has done this could help me through it. I have limited materials and do not want to waste anything. I have some ViVi heads that are disassembled as well. I would like to know how big of a mesh piece to use and also how many times I need to wrap the wire to get about a 2.0 2.2 ohm rating on the head.

Thanks for reading and helping.

i use 3 inches of mesh that i roll up, so that it hits the bottom of the tank and about 4 wraps of 32g wire for about 2.2 Ohms. Make sure you oxidise the wick so as to stop it shorting to the metal of the Nova wick holder, a nice golden brown/rust colour is ideal. If you want to bend your wick rather than just put a kink in it then roll it against the weave of the mesh - say cut a square piece and roll it from one small corner to the other one at the top. Then you can roll it between your fingers and it will bend rather than kinking.

As an aside one of my preferred methods is to use cotton wick inside the SS mesh, which gives a little less TH and to just wrap the coil around that, but being cotton of course dry burning it to clean it is inadvisable. SS mesh wicks can be reused and dry burned and are almost indestructible.
Measure the resistance on a multimeter you trust before attaching it to your device and GL - Novas are cheap and easy to recoil and i have never found the need to use no-resistance or silver wire on the legs of the coil.

I use my Vamo to check the ohms of my wraps.
