okay so a couple months ago I bought a Vision Spinner II from a friend of mine, she sold it to me because she had just gotten a new one. I had used it for a couple weeks and then all of a sudden it just stopped working. ive let it charge for hours on end numerous times so I know that it isnt dead, however it continues to flash a white light 3 times every time I press the button. It will not charge, turn on, turn off,and more importantly it wont work. Im trying to find a way to fix it myself because I dont really have money to have someone look at it, but if i could get some answers I wouldnt mind having it fixed or if it came down to it, buying a new one all together.

Maybe you need to pull out the centre terminal a tiny bit with something small. I'm guessing the part i'm referring to, the centre pin on the battery which connects to you tank when it's screwed on, has been pushed in by the pin of the tank when you've screwed it on so much. I've used Vision spinners in the past, still have two or three in a box somewhere, and the pin is held in with a rubber grommit, apart from that there is just a wire connected to it so don't be too heavy handed, just tease the pin out with a knife or little screwdriver just a little bit, a couple of mil will do, so when you screw the tank on both pins will make contact with each other.

the tank is a Kangertech mini protank 3. I know next to nothing about vapes so im still a little in the dark. I tried moving that center pin thing up slightly by using a safety pin to move it however im almost positive that its an internal problem because it still does the same white flashing whether its plugged in, unplugged, has the tank on, or has the tank off

Have you turned it on by pressing the button 5 times ?

Have you pressed the button 5 times quickly? That turns it on and also turns it off. My mom called me saying hers was broke and it was just off.

If it's not that, your charger could be bad. The chargers for these stop working and are notorious for having short lives.

Another problem could simply be that your friend had it a while. These have internal batteries. Once the battery goes bad they can't be fixed. Find out how long your friend had it. If she was a very heavy user it could be unfixable.

It's just not worth trying to fix the "internals" on a spinner type battery.
From the above post, sounds like there may be some kind of "short" - which makes it potentially unsafe. You can get a basic spinner-type battery new for like $20...

She could pull out the pin completely and wrap some insulation tape round it's neck. It does sound like it's shorting, so the pin is actually touching the body of the battery.

Put a new coil in and make sure its not that...spinners do just crap out. Two months is more than i ever got out of any of them. I had to keep 4 of them, 1100 mah, just in case and always carried 3 to get through the whole day without recharging them.

When its all said and done it was actually cheeper for me to get an 18650 device like a vamo...cant recommend that to anyone anymore hell you can get a temp control device for like 35 bux these days ya know?

I actually had spinners last like a YEAR. But when it goes wonky, that's pretty much it.
DIdn't think through that this could be a dead coil - I thought it was blinking inconsistently with no topper on it. So yes, check whether you need a new coil in your MiniProtank, but if a Spinner's getting hinky and firing/not-firing/blinking irregularly you should replace it.
