What is my PCB temperature , and where should it range from?

Its for your circuit board and tells you how hot the board inside your mod is getting. If your mod was shutting down a lot from chain vaping at max wattage then that display could help you keep track of the temperature so you knew when to back off a bit before the mod shut down.

In general, you shouldn't let your PCB temperature get above 60 degrees Celsius consistently for the life of your board, but without knowing exactly where the temperature censor is mounted, it could vary slightly with your Qbox. Just pay attention to it, don't let it get too hot.

If the MOD is getting that hot to shut off might be time to address or question what batteries are being used. I chain vape continuously and have never had a MOD shut down with good batteries but have had tanks get so hot I had to give it a rest!

I agree with that, but this one has a built in battery which is why you would be best served by making sure your not overheating your board.

If a MOD with an Internal Battery is overheating the board I would think we have a problem and should contact the manufacturer. I own many built in battery MOD's and get the tank so hot I have to put it down but the MOD itself doesn't get that hot.

I'm sure its just there as a useful feature. I am also sure SMOK doesn't intend their product to overheat continually with normal use.

The OP just asked range and what it was and what it was there for - I answered that to the best of my ability.

Not questioning or disagreeing with your opinion I am just saying if it is shutting down there is a serious problem and I do not have any MOD's where the safety range of the PCB is adjustable. At least no DNA boxes.

I find your lack of faith disturbing...

This is the reason I took mine back, it overheated, reaching around 103° on the bottom of the mod.

I used a laser thermometer to take multiple readings, under multiple conditions (1 hit, 3 hits etc) and it consistently increased in temp.

I would suggest that the mod be returned.

Yes, giving us the answer to that question is going to greatly determine what kind of recommendations you get. If the mod itself isn't overheating or shutting down, it may just be you figuring out what that feature is for. If you are getting heat for no reason that would be cause for concern. Welcome to ECF!

From what I read, nowhere was posted that the OP's mod was overheating. He was asking what that PCB temperature was.

This would be like a new driver was asking what the water temperature guage was for and someone coming in and saying that that if their car was overheating there is something terribly wrong with it and to take it to a mechanic immediately.

Sometimes a question is just a question, until they tell us more...
