My hemoglobin and hematocrit have jumped into the stratosphere. Hb was 16.7 and crit 55!!! I’m 61 y/o and have never seen my Hb above 15 or crit above 45-50.
Can we spell car-bon mo-nox-ide!
I think vaping will be going by the wayside like all the other pleasurable vices I’ve had to forgo….but, my health is more important for sure!

FWIW...

If you are currently indoors, alongside a busy roadway or in a city you are naturally breathing carbon monoxide (CO) into your body.

Indoor levels of CO range from 0.5-5 parts per million (ppm) but may reach higher values (up to 30 ppm). Ambient CO values may be higher near sources of combustion, alongside roadways, or in heavily populated urban areas. For example, CO levels near high traffic areas can reach 10-50 ppm [57].

If you see a causative relationship to your ailments and vaping then by all means quit. Look up "post hoc, propter hoc", it is a logical fallacy.
And I will bet that you do not get your carbon monoxide from your vape. Check your auto exhaust pipe and heating system.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have so many things to say, none of which are polite or acceptable as per forum policy. Therefore I will just leave you with a word of advice: please smoke as many cigarettes as you can. I will pay for them.

The only thing worse than ANTZ are ANTZ enablers.

Carbon monoxide does not make your hemoglobin and hematocrit go up, but it does make your carboxyglobin levels go up. Smoking can cause that. Since vaping isn't combustion, there is no CO being produced, thus no carboxyhemogloblin. A regular CBC doesn't measure carboxyhemoglobin and can't tell you anything about CO poisoning. If you choose to quit vaping, fine, but realize you are doing so under misguided information.

Oh Yeah... I Totally Feel for you Alfred. Those Numbers are Eye Popping.

BTW - Are you doing At-Home Blood Testing? Maybe as a Hobby? Or is there some reason that you have had all these Blood Tests done?

Water is more fascinating than CO is!

From here: Brain Post: 8 Weird Facts About Water You Didn't Know - SnowBrains

    2. All water on earth has been recycled through animals, plants, rocks, oceans, and clouds. In other words, you’re drinking dinosaur pee.

    3. Water doesn’t follow the normal rules of chemistry. Water is made of two elements: oxygen and hydrogen, both of which are very light. The rules of chemistry say that on earth, liquid water should not exist. Instead, if water followed the rules, it would exist on earth only as water vapor.

    Can we spell t-r-o-l-l?

    I Dunno?

Maybe the OP is a wannabe Hematologist?
Or maybe He/She has an Abnormal Fixation with Vampire Movies?
Or perhaps the OP's Significant Other left Him/Her and ran-off with a Blood Bank Worker?
Or it could be that the OP Fat Fingered the URL and was really trying to Prank the WebMD Forum?

Just Hard to say what drives a Person to Post what they did on a Wednesday Afternoon?
