ugh. just wrote a long post/request and accidentally deleted it.

retry. i am new to the world of vaping, and i have ordered my first juices from fsusa and litecig (as i have also ordered an ego from litecig). so far i have tried only three jc juices out of desperation (choco mint is passable and mild, espresso is VERY strong, and i cant stand strawberry in any way).

when i check out flavors, i am a little disgusted about all of the sweet candy/fruit/dessert variations that seem to dominate. i like sweet things in the proper mood (and i like lots of creamer and caramel in my chicory/coffee), but i have never been a huge fan of real fruit on a regular basis, and i especially dislike "fruit-flavored" type drinks and sweets.

i have ordered an assortment including vanilla, green tea, anise, zen garden, peppermint, tobacco, cola, etc. i am interested in the herbal and floral type juices (oregano, ylang ylang, absinthe, jasmine, etc.), and not sure what to expect.

i love fresh and dried herbs and some flowers. i like perfume, but i tend toward woody and musky orientals rather than floral or gourmand scents. rose-based frangrances, for example, can really go either way for me depending on surrounding notes.

basically, i don't want to vape perfume any more than i want to vape sugar or fruit.

can i get any input from those of you who have tried or enjoy the herbal and floral liquids? i have searched the forums, but there really is a tremendous amount of information to sort through, and i don't see that many of you have reviewed these juices.

it's late, i'm sleepy, but i'm messing around on ecf and i ran across my post.

just thought i would let ya'll know that i have tried some of the flavors i asked about, and honestly, i'm not impressed so far. i need to do a long post on all the stuff i've tried, but i will just touch on a few of these.

tried jasmine and violet from vaporbomb. the jasmine smells and tastes like a very light floral. i would wear it, if i wore clean, white floral perfumes, but it doesn't make a great vape. i do think it might be good mixed into something like vanilla, green tea, or a fruit flavor (with a light hand, that is). vaporbomb violet, on the other hand, i really regret purchasing, as it smells and tastes like cheap soap.

the fsusa peppermint did not impress me much, and i couldn't much taste it. i have heard the advice to wait awhile on their juices, however, and after a week or so in my cabinet, i noticed this evening it smelled a little stronger and much richer. i wonder if it might really be something in a few more weeks.

i don't know if ya'll consider ginger floral/herbal (well, it is a flower at least, in addition to being a root), but the fsusa ginger had only a slight warmth and little to no flavor. i will check back on it as well. it still doesn't have much of a scent to me, certainly not the bite i expect from fresh ginger. the fsusa anise is very true, and i have enjoyed that, tho i don't use it often so far.

fsusa zen garden was described as herbal... i didn't get herbal at all, only evergreen. i did not realize it was juniper until after i ordered it (i hate juniper as it kicks my allergies into overdrive); i was expecting something more akin to the lovely fsusa green tea. perhaps it will also improve with time, but i am a little afraid to try it again; it basically destroyed my mega atty with a half dozen or fewer direct drips. it is bitter, pungent, and just unpleasant. i have tried boiling, burning, dish soap and rubbing alcohol, and nothing will restore that atty.

also, i ordered fsusa key lime, and so far it tastes rather more floral than fruity, like the bitterness of the rind and the smell of citrus flowers, without any juiciness or tartness. those of you who enjoy the florals may like this one. as with the jasmine, i wonder if it would work well as an accent to something like vanilla or coconut.

my advice would be to try this stuff by all means, but be prepared to hate it and definitely only buy the 5ml to start! why didn't i listen when i heard it elsewhere???

i do still hope to hear from anyone else who has tried or enjoys the floral/herbal flavors, specifically the savory herb flavors (oregano, thyme, cilantro/coriander) and absinthe. i am still curious about these, but i won't purchase with any great expectations.

I've been thinking of making my own herb flavors by simply soaking some fresh herbs in unflavored liquid. I can't see why the same can't be done with flowers as well, as long as they aren't poisonous anyways. Once I get around to trying it I'll let you know how it turns out.

I do smoke rose from time to time by mixing whats labeled as "Rose Key Accord" I purchased off Perfumers Apprentice with unflavored liquid. Its not meant to be smoked, but it does flavor the liquid nicely, and a little goes a very long way. I can't see it being to dangerous as roses are edible. I'm thinking of mixing it with the Honeysuckle flavoring purchased from the same supplier to give it a slight touch of sweetness and maybe fill it out a bit more.

honeysuckle rose sounds pretty good ....please let us know how that works out . I love rose I used to eat rose petals when I worked for a florist , they always reminded me of apples . they are very pretty in salads too. I had seen a post somewhere on here that the poster had said he bought his rose flavoring @ the Indian spice shop , I keep meaning to go see if I can find some , I did check at the local asian grocery store but did not see any , so thanks for the PA info .

I hate to be 'that person', but be careful eating flowers that come from a florist -- the pesticides they use are not food safe and are pretty awful stuff.

On the other hand, I love rose as a flavor, and indulge in it whenever I'm able. I just won't eat commercially available petals. Organic rose petals are an actual thing these days, and should probably be used if you're going to steep them for consumption. Also, organic rose water is out there (I used to make rose water for fragrance and as a skin astringent), so now I've got ideas.....

Vapor Renu's absinth is incredible! I went into it not expecting too much but to me its outright perfectly to a glass that has been louche[ed?] I compared it to a 80$ bottle I had sip for vape and I was outright floored. Make sure if you get it to get the 'agressive' throat hit, PGA is used to give it the throat hit and with absinthe it makes it taste like its the true liquor.

How about Decadent Vapours concentrates. They're a little pricey and require mixing into unflavoured nic juice but I love the Ylang Ylang and Lotus Blossom. They also have available Herbes de Provence, Orange Blossom and Attar of Roses (out of stock right now). You can buy it from Totally Wicked and you can query the creator here on his own Forum Decadent Vapors.

If you do wind up purchasing the rose accord I've mentioned, be warned to use very little of the stuff. Start off one drop at a time. The stuffs killer. Last night I accidentally spilled half the vile on my pv and myself. Everything now reeks of rose. After three washes my clothes still smell. Luckily it was a mechanical vaporizer (thanks puresmoker), so I was able to take it apart and wash it. Still some smell on the o rings, but its not too bad.

Just a side note. You mentioned you kinda ruined your atty by mixing to many flavors direct dripping etc. I dont have a mega but if you can go ahead and debridge it and you may be able to save it. Ive found attys on my 510 that I chalked up as a loss can be put back in working order since you just need to clean out the coil itself. I only use debridged attys when direct dripping and literally go through 6 or so flavors in an hour and can switch them with a simple blow out and dry burn. Takes about 30 sec to get the previous flavor out. So it works great for flavor testing and if you just like to frequently switch. Just a suggestion that might save some attys for use in the future :D

I have lotus flower concentrate from decadent vapors that has a delicate spice/herbal flavor I mixed it up with 50/50 mix at 12 mg, TW absinthe premix that I like quite a bit, and velvet vapors raspberry ginger ale ( my current all day vape) that is slightly sweet/spicy, and their regular ginger ale that is spicy like real ginger ale. I also have the zen garden, and I like that flavor, I do get the herbal zing with that one, not juniper. But then again, I only get jalapeno from wyatt earp and don't like it, and apparently it is their most popular flavor. Obviously, my mileage did vary on that one :)

wow spills, that is great advice, thanks. :)

i love the damiana idea, garysmiff; that sounds like something i would go for. damiana tea is good stuff.

desig: jalapeno from wyatt earp? i love ...., and i didn't get that from it at all; i may have to give that another try. as i said elsewhere, earp reminds me of a desperation smoke... you know, when you were desperate for an analog and found a few that had been sitting in the bottom of your hot car for a few months? or maybe that was dark vapure from vb. i dunno; apparently the only tobacco flavor i go for so far is ry4.

straight ginger ale sounds awesome, though.

i still want to hear from someone who has tried the savory herb flavors. :)
