I have been doing some flavor testing as of late on various hardware. The winner by miles is the Splitfire. I have not used anything else that can even come close to the vapor and flavor on these.
My favorite juices on nova's, T3's, PBC's, Eternity, Stardusts, Hyper SRT's. etc.

My favorite juices in a SplitFire with a 2.8 head at 4.0V-4.2V, priceless.......

Today I'll receive a Birkshire CLR and some 500 mesh. When I get that cookin, I'll see how that compares. But in all honesty I do not see how you can get a denser more flavorful, warm but not hot vape like I am getting with the SpliFire. The only downside, if you can call it that, is my juice consumption has skyrocketed. But I am also getting more satisfaction out of lower nicotine juices.:2c:

I'll post it here too ... I'm also one to say the spitfire wins hand down to the Birkshire. In vapor, flavor, and juice preservation...

How do you like your VAMO?

Thanks for the info Wally. I'm not sure on the magic yellow even though I know you all say it's not that gaudy, but yellow isn't really my color. OTOH, if it's magic...hmmm lol

I actually don't have my vamo yet, I'm (im)patiently waiting for it to leave China. I ordered it last Monday and it hasn't left the country yet, so I'm a little worried. I've heard sometimes EMS has issues and am wishing I had gone for DHL instead.

I'm heading to Canada in about a week so I'm going to order a couple of splitfires and a few other things from gotvapes and get them sent there. This is my first mod, I've been using ego batts but the vapor production from this splitfire looks amazing. Really looking forward to it (and also to being able to vape on the plane, it's a long 13 hour flight).

[h=3]GotVapes SplitFire 3ml Tank Replaceable Head 2.4ohm - CLEAR[/h]$12.95

Introducing the Gotvapes SplitFire by TempestTek!

The bottom of the tank holds up to 3ml of ejuice and is separated by the top air chamber by a metal plate with 4 drilled holes for the wicks. Each head has two ~2ml wicks giving you four lead wicks that descend into the juice chamber for extra wicking. This is similar to our Vision Grande 4 wick-lead system.

Fully disassembled you can replace both poly carbonate tanks and coil/wick heads. We have replacement coil/wicks available in 1.8ohm, 2.4hm and 2.8ohm as well as various colors of 2 piece tank covers.

The replacement wick is shoe-lace tipped to allow easier insertion into the plate holes when replacing your wick!

  1. You will receive one 510 threaded SplitFire Tank with 2.4ohm coil head.
  2. It is recommended that you prime your wick above the metal plate and allow time for the wicks to fully soak before vaping.
  3. These were manufactured with an easy to adjust slot-head connector pin. The way these were manufactured TempestTek assembled these with 1/2 mm or so protrusion so you may need to adjust when screwing into your PV.

Absolutely LOVE these!! I have six......so far...........Santa could bring me more of these and I'd be a happy pup :D

That's the bad part about the Splitfire, getting the wicks through the holes. Otherwise, I think the flavor comes through great on them.

It's not easy, but you can wet the tips of the wick with juice and (being careful), twist the wick into a point and then try go get it into the holes. Otherwise, find someone with steadier hands, and better eyes! It ain't easy getting old!

i keep screwing up punching the wicks thru the holes, my hands shake a lot and i usually ruin one or more wicks b/c of it, any tips?

also if a wick comes out of the hole back to the top is there a way to get it back in without the plastic shoelace tips at the end of the wick?

I also wet the wicks, twist em and use tweezers to guide them in. Still not the easiest but it's working for me OK.
Wish they had longer wicks to give some working room and then we could just clip to length after they are installed.
Luckily these heads last quite a few cleanings before needing replacement.

I love the SplitFire, but I have the threading issue as well. I can tighten it down, but it still slops from vertical to slightly tilted in either direction pretty easily. Pretty shoddy worksmanship IMO, other than that, I like it more than my ViVi nova (I've had threading issues on one or two of those as well) as far as flavor/vape are concerned..

I still have the threading issues, I use an adapter on the 3 I have. I would have a lot more of these if it wasn't right around Christams and I could spend money on myself. They are my very favorite tanks ever. Granted I don't do re-buildable's or make my own wicks and coils. Once I learn how to do that and get some higher end atty's my view might change, but I am not sure about that. The ease of use with these is amazing. The flavor is amazing. Filling them is easy. The only problems are the threading, which is fixed with an adapter and changing the heads. My husband taught me a trick with fishing line that makes getting the wicks in those tiny, itty, bitty holes a lot easier, but that if those 2 issues were addressed I would say this would be the perfect tank IMO...

here, there and everywhere
From a noob (1+ month vaping) - I have been looking at the splitfires for a couple weeks. Finally broke down and bought one on black friday. I am seriously LOVING this! The flavor is hands down the best I have gotten with anything I have used!!! My taste buds have been pretty tough to satisfy until now.

I even get tons of flavor and vape playing around all the way down to 3.6. This is going to end up replacing my novas IF I can wick the thing. That apparently is going to be the challenge at some point lol I definitely have to have more SFs though!! I am just going to have to find something creative to do with the stock pile of clearomizers, attys and tanks I am accumulating lol
