Blue X2 1.jpg

Here's my new X2. First impressions - I know the voltage is the same as my regular Volts but the vape is definitely warmer. Having just started using it maybe it's at a slightly higher voltage than I'm used to? Anyway, I like it. Good vapor and TH so far. Just using a regular carto filled with 555, with a cone for aesthetics. As you can see, no drip tip. Still have enough room above the cone to draw on the carto.

I am not sure if my blue LED works properly while charging. I charged this thing for hours (I mean like over 10 hours) using the usb passthrough charger plugged into a 1.0 A wall charger. The blue light and the base did not turn off while charging. I couldn't wait any longer - so will see how long it lasts before it needs charging again.
The blue LED does seem sensitive. I will need to monitor it as I'm not sure if my batt arrived very low on charge or the light is not switching off when it is charged.

Feels quite comfortable to hold. Same nice rubber finish coating on the batt as the regular Volts have. Not too heavy. Can gets lots of vapor from a short draw and am not getting any problems with airiness.

So those are my initial impressions. I love it so far for the vape. Will watch the LED.

I think you will find SI recommends a 1.5 amp charger especially if you want to use it as a pass through, SteelJan has a great video on the X2 as does Mr. Outlaw on their respective youtube channels.. My 1300 will charge in about 4 hours on the 1.5 household charger which was $9.95 at SI or it can take all night on the computer USB which I only did once.

Hi, and thanks. Very hard to find a 1.5 charger in New Zealand. They can charge on any usb wall charger, but not for using as a passthrough. Until I find a 1.5 (which is like monty python and the holy grail) I may have to put up with long charging times. I'll see how it goes - it took over two weeks to make it to middle earth and may have been low on charge when it got here.

You can look at this THREAD or the ask Imagine thread under FAQ and you will find the answer you gave above to be correct. The X2 does charge while being used as a passthrough and any charger less than 1.5 amps will not be enough to both charge the battery and power the device as a passthrough. Do you have a Radio Shack in New Zealand? If you can find a charger that matches the output requirements (5volts DC at 1.5 amps with a mini USB connector) you should be fine. Many of the household cell phone chargers that are made for the Lithium Ion batteries here in the States have this same output voltage and amps. I didn't realize this until I had already ordered one but I have one just like it for my Android phone. You can also buy USB hubs that are powered by household current that will do the job, take a look in your local Computer Store, surly you have computer stores in New Zealand? At any rate you have the correct answer so just keep looking.

Thanks 1st officer. Yes, we have computer stores. :2cool: I have an adapter which slipped my mind yesterday. So I'll prolly order the SI 1.5. A wall charger. Some-one of the forum kindly sent me a US to NZ wall adapter a while back and that works fine with my other charger. I didn't use it to charge the X2 but could do. It's not like I want one world govt or anything but why can't we all have the same pins on our plugs?
