Hey all,

Well I decided to put down the real cigs because I could hardly breath at night and theres nothing worst than playing with yout kids and saying... Hold on daddy cant breath.

Well I am sure this has been answered many times. A buddy of mine let me use his Mistics that he had and they are really helping me, I have read many threads on here and decided I want to go with the volt. (going to try the smooth sampler to see which one I like best)

Well my question is, which strength would you recommend for a new vaporer?

I smoked Marlboro lights 1 1/2 pack a day. Sometimes more when I work long hrs.. I am a web designer so sitting at the desk all day I didnt realize I was lighting up so much.

Thanks in advance. I am going on my 3rd day without the real thing and already feel the difference. The biggest difference is the $30 I have saved, not to mention a little more time with the kids.

I think I'm gonna try the 12, I dont think it was the nic that got me, it was the habit of having to have a cig in my mouth when working.

I think the 24 would kick my ....

That's what it was about for me too. That and being able to step away from everything if something is getting to me. I still go outside and vape as if it was a smoke break on occasion.

That may be a little low, but everyone is different. You probably need to buy some blank carto's and find a juice you like.

Pre-filled carto's will get expensive. Don't throw the empties away, they can be refilled.

First of all, congratulations on quitting! Second, you made a really good decision going for the Volt, you will love it! I definitely think that 12mg is the way to go...strong enough that you get the nicotine but won't knock you over. You should be really proud of yourself for taking this step, and this forum is awesome! Lots of wonderful people, and so much information. Anything you need to know, It's either here or someone will jump at the chance to answer your questions. Have fun on this amazing journey! :)

I was a 1 to 2 PAD marlboro lights smoker, and I vape 18 most of the time. I also have some unflavored 24 for when I can only take a puff here and there, and have found that I need to buy sweeter flavors (like snickerdoodle and chocolate) in 6-12 because I can't put them down. I couldn't stop the analogs when I was vaping only 12 all the time.

More than anything else, I think this thread is telling you that you're gonna have to figure out what the best strength is for you. Everyone likes something different.

Congrats, Squiggles and welcome to the ECF!

I was a 1.5 - 2 PAD ultra-light smoker and use 11/12mg and 8/6mg. As others have said, it really is a personal thing. Basically, go for the lowest mg that satisfies you...the less nic you take in, the better the health benefits.

BTW, some signs that you are taking in too much nicotine are headaches, nausea, sleeplessness, anxiety, and high heart rate. If you get these, cut down on your nic.

Congrats and welcome! I was a pack & 1/2 a day smoker (reds)myself and 18mg worked fine for me. I've actually picked up some 12mg as well for when I feel like chain-vaping. The 12mg dosn't quite give me the fix I'm after but it's nice for not making myself sick ;-) Honestly, I've never even tried 24mg as I feel I vape too often and it would make me sick.

Oh yeah...well, I was going to say "obviously", but if it were obvious, I wouldn't feel the need to say it...so, anyway, don't go out and get a 50ml bottle of any juice until you find the strength and flavors you like. Get sample size containers so you don't end up with half a gallon of juice you can't use. Not to say that you won't end up with quite a few bucks of juice you don't like but it'll be less painful with the little bottles.
There's a thread on the vendors that have good sample packs....I'll see if I can find it
