I could use more watts just to speed up ramp up time. If i did i'd take shorter draws. I prefer a cool vape and vape at 43 watts using a four coil setup with a combined ohm'age of 0.15 in my Zephyrus RTA. Seeing as the clouds are a fair size, and i knew they would be, i use a juice with very little nicotine content, 4.5 mg actually.
In contrast i also use a lower powered device with a Kayfun RTA. I use a single coil, 1.7ohm, 32g kanthal, and use very little power, 3.7v, which is probably about, erm i dunno, 10 watts maybe less, not much !. The juice i use for that is 24mg.
Smaller clouds, for me, require more nicotine content.
Bigger clouds, then i need less nicotine content.
So it does all depends on how much vapour is being produced per draw which should determine how much power you think you need to produce the amount of vapour you want.
I'd imagine at 28 watts, 12 mg nicotine juice would probably be equal to maybe 24mg if the draws were long. So that's not so high really. Just depends how much vapour you're getting per draw. If the clouds are a fair size and i think i might be inhaling too much nicotine, then for me, i'd drop the watts until the clouds became reduced.
Whether it works for you or not, do you really want to become more dependant on nicotine, because you accidentally raised the amount to a level way above what you used to inhale when you smoked ?.
It's ok to maybe "cover the angles" by using more nicotine solely to prevent you from smoking. It's just up to you how far/high you think you need to go.
