To be honest i just started mixing my own. got tired of dropping 200+ a month for juice! I just bought a bunch of flavors from tfa/tpa whatever name you prefer to use for them. and have loved them all so far except the candy apple but i think that one might get better with some steeping time behind it. but my favorite flavor at the momment is the tfa butterscotch! Yum Yum

Been making all my mixes 0 nic so far tried to do 2 with nic and they were instantly horrible not sure why either.

What is the smart way to try flavors ? can get pricey and local store has selection to try but dont taste the same like out of my emow

The flavors you get at most every B&M is 0 nicotine, and this will affect the flavor. The nicotine will contribute a bit of a peppery, spicy back flavor to any eliquid. Add to that the differences you will get between almost any two toppers and tasting in the store is less than an exact science.

When I DIY my flavors, I mix up single flavor bottles, get them to taste good (different flavors = different %) and then mix the results in different combinations to whatever I'm feeling like.

Ive got my single and even mixes flavors down pat. But once i add in any form of nic they go to trash. like burnt as heck flavor harsh throat hit. using 100% Vg 36mg 60ml nic. and only mixing to 6mg nic contect in my mixes and they are unbearable. But if i dont add the nic the flavors are on point. Not sure what im doing wrong with adding the nic for the mixes to be unvapeable!

The software for this forum is kind of unique in that it does not notify you when someone replies to your posts. The way I do it is to go to my own profile and look at my own activity. Then I just go back to where I have recently been and see if anyone has replied to what I have written. Also, when you find people you like, you can ask to add them as a friend so that if they agree you can check their activity as well. When you make friends with people who share similar interests, you can not only help them by them seeing where you have been but also they often will end up on threads that you will enjoy as well.

awesome !! TY so it seems like mixing is the best way to find your prefered taste for reasonable dollars !

Try a bunch of pre-mixed first, get an idea of the types you enjoy. Is it sweet or not, creamy or not, tobacco or not...etc...
Once you know what you want to shoot for, you end up buying fewer DIY flavorings that sit in your stash box....

(and buy small bottles of pre-mix, save the bottles for DIY)

Have you tried your nicotine mixed down to 6mg/mL and unflavored?? Could be a nasty nicotine base, they are not all created equal.
Personally I prefer RTS Vapes.
