Hey all, so, I'm trying to quit smoking and trying to get into vaping. So, a while ago I bought a couple of Mastervapes and Fumi juice bottles. The vapes sort of crapped out in a couple weeks, which I originally attributed to the fact that they're cheapie 20$ liquor store vapes. Then I began reading, finding out that things had to regularly be replaced for premium function, but the lingo is a bit confusing to me.
Last night I ordered a Kanger Evod starter kit, with two heads and batteries and 5 replacement atomizers(?). Excuse my ignorance, but if I understand it correctly, the atomizers are what must be replaced every few weeks for premium function? Haha. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome to the forum. I have a Kanger Evod kit and like it a lot. I think some people call the replacement "atomizers", heads, or coils, too. It does get confusing. Some people replace them pretty often, but others seem to get as much as a month or more before needing to change them.

Some people soak them in vodka, or hot water, and let them dry overnight. They seem to get good results with this, and they last a while longer. I haven't had mine long enough to try cleaning them or needing to change them either.

My local vape shop sells them in a pack 5 for $10, which is really pretty cheap. Even if you replace them every few weeks, it's not bad, if you consider the cost of every pack of cigarettes you smoke.

PS I don't know about you, but a pack of cigarettes did not last me a couple of weeks. Ha!

I'm pretty new myself. Maybe someone with more experience will have more of an answer for you.

Yes. the atomizers are the part that gets hot and vaporizes the liquid. They get gunked up and need cleaning every few tankfuls.

Over the past month I have been really happy with an EVOD starter kit. Still on my first atomizer and basically just rinse out the parts ever few tanks.
I do use mostly clear juices tho. Menthol, spearmint and licorice are my faves.
