Hey guys, I'm 21 and i've been smoking since elementary school. I really wanna start getting healthy, and be able to run without coughing up a lung. I have a few questions about e-cigarettes which I would really appreciate being answered.

1. I smoke about 8 cigarettes a day, sometimes less. The average pack of smokes lasts me approximately 2 1/2 - 3 days. Based on what I stated, how long do you think a single cartrige/cartomizer can last me?

2. I'm willing to spend a maximum of $150 for my first time. Can you please reccomend something for that amount of money that includes:2 batteries, Wall/USB Charger, a PCC, and at least about 5 boxes of cartomizers/cartridges.

Guys if you can help me out, well, you're helping me out a lot more than you know. I wanna quit this filthy analog smoking habbit once and for all. But I need you guys.

try healthcabin bro but use chinamail much cheaper

Thanks for the quick response. I checked out that website and their stuff is REALLY cheap. That's great, but am I losing quality from the vapes if I buy them that cheap? Also I should have asked for certain brand names I should lean towards, that have good battery life and smoke amount. But also look like a cigarette, not those bulky ones. Thank you!!

I recommend Joye 510 with MANUAL batteries and I use cartomizers on it (blank Boge soft-cap 510 standard resistance) and recommend the PCC charging case from NoSmokeVA.com. I strongly recommend manual batteries. Short battery life (2-3 hours for a light vaper, 1/2 that for a heavy vaper) but with the PCC you can recharge on the go. Just remember to restart the charge if you open the PCC. There are also 3-4.5 hour mega xl manual batteries and for those you would need the metal Joye Mega PCC which is less roomy.

Another choice - KR808D-1 manual (see LiteCigUSA.net) aka Vapor4Life.com manual (in more in colors, and most of the KR8 prefilled cartos are there) and I recommend standard size manual batteries for 3-4.5 hour charge life. The PCC is flat and a bit heavy and hold just one battery and 2 cartos.

Those are the most supported and recommended 3-piece 2-piece slim ecigs.

healthcabin is great if your not in a hurry, they really do have the best pricing but have to ship from china. Best pricing for starter kits in the u.s. that I've found are at the link I gave above. Make sure you hit the 20% off button in the top left corner of the homepage. The one that got me off of cigs was the ego-t kit (riva 510 is the same battery but holds less juice) but there are plenty on that site to choose from, just remember the juice! and good luck.

At 8 smokes per day, if you only vape that much a single cartomizer should last you all day and maybe part of the next day. Do not believe the ripoff rebranders who claim a carto lasts for 1.5 packs.

But we buy soft cap cartos and you add more liquid to keep the carto damp. So a carto lasts even a heavier vaper for 4-14 days.

Thanks everyone! This is actually very helpful and I'm taking everyones opinion into consideration.

Also 2 more questions.

1. Can you please simplify why manual batteries are preferred over automatic?

2. I don't understand how the ejuice works, do you buy empty cartridges and just fill them up with the ejuice whenever they get empty? Please let me know because this seems like it would be cheaper and better than having to order packs of 5 cartridges.

I would get kr808d-1 manual batteries probably in a kit from litecigusa. You can find good prices on cartos and juice at madvapes.com. Just fyi you can change how the device vapes buy getting cartos with different ohm ratings. The lower the ohms the hotter the vape and generally more vapor production. Clearomizers are my carto of choice, but they have a learning curve and some modification to get working great. So I'd start off with standard filler cartos. You might want 1 or 2 atty's to direct drip with for emergencies. $100-150 will get you started nicely. Good luck

Manual batteries are sealed and therefore no ejuice can get to the battery. No chance of shorting them out. A kit usually comes with 5 or 10 cartridges and are refillable, but the filler does get nasty and needs replaced. I would recommend a cartomizer (atty+filler in one.) Less messy and less refills.

A manual battery has a button that you have to press in order to produce the vapor. It saves the battery because sometimes automatic batteries can automatically activate when you don't want/need them too.

Ejuice works in multiple ways. I suggest you watch some of the newbie videos here to get acquainted with all the different terms. That's how I learned. Good luck, it's worth it!

1. Automatic batteries can break from juice leaking into the battery. The auto batteries have a pressure switch so when you puff on it the battery activates. There is a hole to allow for this and juice gets in there and gums it up causing problems. It is safer to use a manual button.
2. Yes you can buy bottles of juice and fill and refill cartomizers. It is much cheaper to do this then to buy prefilled cartos and throw them away. At 1-2 dollars a pop it can get pricey using once and tossing. however don't expect more than 4-5 refills on a filler carto. A clearomizer can be filled many many times but requires cleaning and care and modification.

Before ordering from ANYWHERE you should get your posts/replies to 5 in New Members, wait an hour, then ask in the Canada forum. They will know if stuff is being confiscated or sent back by customs.

Hmm, that's odd. I wouldn't want that to happen, especially since I want to get my e-cigarette before I finish this last pack of analog cigarettes. Thanks for the heads up!

Ant, not trying to promote, but have you looked at happy vaper? I think they're a vendor here. If you're in Toronto, they have a kiosk/ stall at a flea market on the weekends. They were really helpful.

I just started on e-cigs the past weekend. I can go through my selection if you'd like. But basically, what I really considered was what you're willing to carry around with you.

Although it seems petty, it was a factor in my decision. Then there's the look/ feel of your choice. I didn't really care (but that's just me). I just wanted something that could last me an entire day with minimal fuss. I like you, smoke around 10 or so a day. Since picking the eGo up, I've cut it down to 5 and that's without any nic in the juice.

Good luck to you.

I know that liberty-flights ships to canada.....maybe you could email them and ask it they have problems. Or look for the Canada forum here at ecf. I also know that freedomsmokeusa. com ships there and have many customers, so you could also ask them.

Damn, seems like freedomsmokeusa.com is out of stock on the KR808. It's a shame cause they're pretty inexpensive there.

In all honesty, i don't think i'll be too into the refilling cartridges thing as a beginner. I want to have it quick and simple for now until I get used to this whole thing.

I've decided to get the KR808 Starter Kit, with a PCC and a passthrough.

However I'm still in need of a website that sells cartomizers. Vapor4Life is great for flavours, but it's pretty much $10.00 per pack of 5, which isn't as great. Can someone recommend a good cartomizer purchasing website? Thank you!!

Edit: Oh also I'm not sure if cartomizers are universal with all battery types but I would like the site to cater to the KR808, so I don't mess up and buy cartomizers that don't work for my device. Thanks again!!

Vapor4Life is always having sales, so there's no reason to pay full price for cartomizers - and they really do have the best selection of flavors. (I'd recommend the Wow flavors: coffee, black licorice, pancake, peppermint, etc.) You can refill the cartomizers quite a few times, so they are economical in the end.

Check the Vapor4Life sub-forum for current discount codes.
