Hey y'all!

I've been wanting to try e-cigs for a long time now. Though, I did love smoking analogs (very enthusiastically, actually) I recently had my second bout of bronchitis this year, frequently get sinus infections and my teeth have also been abused by heavily smoking analogs. I've made drastic, yet gradual improvements in my health habits in the past couple of years but still wasn't quite ready to let go of my crutch, American Spirits (yellow pack.) I've also recently been prescribed meds for ADD, which help immensely but made me love smoking analogs even more.

I did some research, though I should have been more thorough. I got a V2 starter kit. I mean, it's great. I haven't had an analog in four days and before that I only had one or two a day. But, wish I would have read this forum because I have since found out that they are way overpriced. I googled "best quality e-cig" and "best value e-cig kit" and V2 always came up in the results. From reading this forum, I've now found out that they spend a lot of money on advertising so it makes sense.

I did love V2's "Sahara" pre-filleds that came with the kit, though they didn't last me long. In fact, the only reason I had an analog at all was because I was waiting for my WOW Kamel juice and WOW prefilled Kamel cartridges and WOW blank cartridges. I used to smoke Camel Light 99s before the yellow AS but hated the Kamel juice at first but it's all I have and now I find it "meh." I plan on upgrading to a more powerful device/setup eventually but would like to stick with the stick style 808 batteries for now.

I'm really excited to try all the different flavors, especially the organic low PG or all VG ones! I'm usually not much of a girly-girl, at all, but I have to admit I'm completely enamored by all the accessories (the e-cig skins, the different colors of LED lights, the drip tips and the diamond end caps from SmokelessImage!) I have 15% off my next order with V2 but their prices are crazy compared to other vendors and the shipping was expensive for how long it took to get to me. I am kind of obsessed with getting their long ... auto battery (140mm) though.

Anyway, TLDR! Sorry, I'm long-winded. Also, apologies if this posted twice. I wasn't logged in the first time and had to restart it!

Well this is my story word for word, even down to the ADD meds that made me crave smoking. I didn't do enough research before I purchased the V2 kit. Its certainly not bad for what it is though, just pricey. I have switched to Boge cartomizers. They last a lot longer and you can get them for the same price or cheaper. Also, V2's eliquid is really expensive. Other sights offer 30ml for half the price. Anyway, congratulations!

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! I have fallen in love with vaping and can't see myself going back to analogs!

Funny that our stories are so similar AND that I just recently had to move away from Nashville (long story, didn't want to leave but really didn't have a choice.) Boges are definitely on my list. And I made another n00b mistake by getting 30ml of liquid from V4L that I had never tried. Ha! Luckily, I find it tolerable now but yeah, I have definitely taken notice of the other e-liquid vendors who have a lot more options as far as sizes, flavors and samples go and are less expensive. Congratulations to you as well and and give my best to Nashvegas!

Thank you. A move is in the works for me as well, it might be a couple of years off though. Did you ever encounter anyone here that used ecigs? I have maybe seen 3. It just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe it just doesn't look as cool vaping in a big truck with a rebel flag license plate. As a "long-haired hippie" driving an eco-friendly car, it feels right at home for me. 10 years ago, it would have taken Doc Brown showing up at my house in the DeLorean to believe I would quit smoking and would be charging an electronic cigarette in my car through a usb port. Oh, and what brands/flavors have you tried that you would recommend?

I had a couple of friends that used e-cigs, one who tried to recruit me and I was really interested. I tried a cheapie disposable and liked it but not enough to quit analogs. I started to research others but, as I'm sure you know, untreated ADD=hard time getting .... accomplished. I had occasionally passed by a couple of strangers using them, but not too many.
Definitely did not see any drivers of big trucks with a rebel flag plate using one! Haha.

I had mentioned trying one to a couple of people I worked with and they looked at me like I just told them I wanted to try smoking crack, on the moon. I've actually seen a few Nashville vendors on this forum but not sure if they have a brick and mortar store. I've heard that Murfreesboro has one and my friend did mention that they were popular among the MTSU kids. I know what you mean about needing your B2F reference to ever believe you would quit analogs. I felt the same way. I mean, I LOVED to smoke. Chain smoking is prevalent on both sides of my family. My mom has said that she wished these were around when she quit years ago.

I have only tried V2 Sahara pre-filled carts (like!) and v4L's WOW prefilled Kamel carts and WOW Kamel juice (first hated, now tolerate.) Making an order soon for more batteries and liquid but money is tight so I'm shopping around for the best deals. Let me know of anything you think I should try!

Is that Smalls?! He was my favorite!

Wasn't sure if I should make a new thread or post my question in here. I am really interested in the organic all/or mostly VG liquids. I understand that my V2cigs model and Volt (on the way) aren't really compatible with primarily VG liquids but I'd like to try anyway!

Have read that Boge cartos are one of the best for this, but have also read that a lot of drip tips don't fit in Boge cartos. I don't drip or fill with the drip tips, just like the look and feel of them. Any advice on what cartos would fit most drip tips and are good with mostly VG liquid? I've also read that you can thin out the VG liquid with distilled water, do any vendors do this for you? (Not lazy, just afraid of messing up my liquid if I did it myself.) And any advice on how to best fill the cartos with VG/mostly VG liquid would be appreciated!

Hey TacoGato.... another nooB here.

I have some of the same stuff you do...
Bought a V2 kit and have a Volt bat and a few Kanger sealed auto bats.

I have had the best luck using Kanger Horizontal coil Cartos. I get them from Vapor Kings. (They're local to me.)
They seem to hit a little harder than the Volt Cartos I have.
I have used 50/50 VG/PG with no issues.
That said, with what I have, the flavorings seem to make the juice thicker than VG does.

Thanks for the advice! I actually already have some V4L WOW cartos so I will try them out.

TacoGato welcome to ecf from a fellow southerner.

I would recommend looking for a local vendor to go try juices at. It has certainly helped me figure out what I like and don't like, and almost every shop has been full of awesome people.

I gave up on taking my add meds years and years ago right about the time I started smoking analogs, so it is interesting to hear about the cross reaction. My meds were ritalin, followed by many orhers that didn't work, then dexadrine (pure amphetamine). I learned in the intervening 17 years to deal with add myself. Well, sometimes, at least.

Congratulations on kicking te habit and I wish you all the best. Check out the local forums and see if you can make some friends that live close. When you run out of juice or your last car to dies, friends that live close will jump in to help keep you from lighting up an analog.

I wish you the best!

Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone!

S-l-o-w-l-y! EC Blend Has all natural and organic juices. I'm currently trying a couple of them out.

Thanks for the tip! They are on my list.

Hello TacoGato WTG!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post - it is very informative and well written.

Regarding your obsession with long (__i__) auto batts - is auto your preference or have you not tried manuals yet?

Vape On!

Thank you very much ! I have an auto and a manual. At first, I mostly preferred the auto but I'm getting used to the manual now as well. So really, as long as it's as it's longer than the standard battery, I want it! Wish someone made a ridiculously long battery like Audrey Hepburn's in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Hi and thank you! I actually can't claim full Southerner status, as I'm from the Midwest and only lived in Music City for a few years. However, I am from a Midwestern state that oftentimes thinks that we're in the South.

I am returning to school again soon and that's the main reason I've started the meds. So glad that e-cigs are around so I'm not continuously smoking analogs.

There are a few head shops/smoke supply stores around here. I went to one while I was out last week and picked up a crappy disposable. I did ask the lady if she sold any cartos that would fit my battery (I brought it in with me to show her) and she had no clue what I was talking about. However, the other two shops that I know of in the area, one that has been around forever so I plan on seeing what they have to offer.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome and advice!
