This is the main reason I chose LG HG2 over the Samsung 30Q. Performance-wise they should be quite similar.I use the LG HG2 in my RX200, and VTC4 or Samsung 25R in my mech (0.6 ohm coil).

Not in a regulated mod.
In a regulated mod the VTC4 won't let you do anything that you can't do with the HG2, but the HG2 will have significantly longer battery life.
The VTC4 will give you 22.68 Watt Hours of use.
The HG2 will give you 32.4 Watt Hours of use.
Everything else will perform the same in a regulated mod.
