Hey everyone, so I just got my first HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 2.0 Ohm atty today; and let me just say, I am in freakin love! lol This thing is amazing! Great taste and clouds of vapor production. I'm using it on my SB. I'm obviously still breaking it in since I just got it today. On the Avid Vaper website, Hanna said in one of the videos that it's going to take about 2 weeks to break in until you get the full flavor from the atty, and I can't freakin wait for it just because it's ALREADY outperformed all of my other attys and cartos so far. I'm also really curious as to how long it's going to last me. I read somewhere that it been lasting people for like 6-8 months, and one guy said it lasted him a year and it's still going strong. I'll definitely let you guys know how it works out for me... :)

If anyone else has an HH.357 let me know how it's been working for you so far!

these atomizers are the biggest scam going and with the influx of rebuildables, im actually suprised to see people still buy them. total waste of money IMO.

I agree!

I recently bought the A7 from Empiremods for just slightly more than this 357 unicorn. I have enough nichrome to last a year and enough wick to last me a year. In the time you'll spend trying to preserve a "consumable" item, I can rebuild countless flavorfull coils and not spent another dime.

Haters gonna Hate, Q. The HH357 is one of the more controversial pieces of hardware. At $22/pc, it's pricey. If YOU like it, that's all that matters. I use them too, amongst other things. I get the long barrel because they're spitty, and you can get juice in your mouth. I like them because I like to drip. I can put 5 or 6 drips in it without flooding, vs. 2 or 3 in a cheap china atty. I get great flavor and lotsa vape out of mine too. And I don't EVER have to clean it, unlike the cheaper ones. Rebuildables are apples and oranges, they're another animal altogether. When you get more experience, you may try one and love it. But if the 357 is working good for you, then it's a great piece of hardware.

All that said, do some more research on Atty's if you want to save some dollars. There ARE atty's out there as good, for much less. If you don't care about the extra $10, stick with the 357.

Good luck. Mine died after 3 weeks. No warranty offered on these.

There is no difference in their warranty and anyone else's for atty's...... Not sure where you buy your other atty's from but go back and check other warranties, they will all say they only warranty DOA's.....not after it was used for 3 weeks. They will charge you for returning an item also. It is not just Avid that does that!! You did the same thing a lot of other people have done and that is bought an expensive atty and learned your lesson that maybe it just wasn't worth the price. I have had mine for almost a year now and its still working. What type of device are you vaping it on. Maybe it was some kind of user error as to why it died. Maybe it was the Vodka bath you were giving it. Just chalk it up to lesson learned and move on from it. Bad mouthing Avid on every post is not the answer.... Have you tried the regular Cisco spec atty's? That is all I use and am extremely happy. I tried the HH357 and found it wasn't for me and found a better vape in standard Cisco 306's.... Saved myself a ton of money as well. There are a lot of vaper's that are extremely happy with the HH357 and that is what it is.... It is personal preference... The thing I learned early on and always have to remember is what works for someone else might not work for me and at that point I just have to chalk it up to a learning experience....

I don't see how resistance wire could last more than a month tops.

My first custom HH357 lasted about a month, but I did do alot of dry burns on it... My second one was still going strong after 2 months, I did finally toss it though when it started to lack in vapor production.... I would say 4-6 weeks is a good life for any atty...
I buy the custom ones and absolutly love em.......

I have to agree with you.... I dont mind spending money if the performance level is as great as the HH357 atty...
I did own a ZAP for about a week, but I sold it due to the size and weight it added to my Provari...Plus Im a direct dripper...

That's very true; harters gonna hate. lol But since I'm still new to this, are there any other attys that you would recommend? :)

Assuming you're asking me personally, to actually recommend anything else would be conjecture on my part. I used a lot of cheap Chinese atty's that were inferior to the 357, and once I found that one, I didn't bother looking for others. I've been told of brands that are supposed to be as good, but I have no personal experience with them. To me, a $20 bird in the hand is worth more than two $10 birds in the bush, if you catch my drift.

They can't all be perfect lol! Email Hanna, he will take care of you.

I've had 5 or 6, and only my first was a short barrel. The long barrel is much better IMO, no juice in your mouth if its a little overfilled and gets spitty. I love mine, but they are definitely unique. I've had some where they reached full flavor in 2 hours, and others that have taken almost 2 weeks to get there.

I hear lots of people saying how much they love them, and others say its a rip-off. I like the idea that one guy(Hanna) makes them by hand in the good 'ol USofA, give some of the best flavor/vapor, but best of all they NEVER leak. I mean, if you grossly overfill it, yea its going to leak. But under normal usage its great.

I still use and love the 'stingray' attys. They are just bridgeless attys, they have 510 and 306, LR and SR. You can get them at juicy vapor(expensive there though), Delaware Vapor, and thehouseofvapor. The owner of HouseofVapor made the stingray, and I think he has the best prices on them also. That would be my recommendation, other than the .357 of course.
