Hey all,

I've been lurking this forum for about a month now, which is just the amount of time I've been vaping. This post serves both to give a shout out to the awesome community and ask a question.

Currently I'm rocking a Volt V2 and smokeless image clearomizers and have tried juice from Highbrow, Mrs. T's and Tasty Vapor.

The question I have is with the clearomizers: I've got a handful of them over the last month and I've already killed two. I'm not sure how long they're supposed to last but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. It doesn't appear that there are any leaks but they don't seem to produce any airflow. I spoke to Chris at Tasty Vapor and learned that I need to avoid juice with Citrus or Cinnamon but that didn't seem to be the cause of the issue. I've watched a few tutorials on youtube on how to clean and dryburn but I think I must have fried the atomizers. Any of you guys have an idea on what i'm doing wrong and how I can avoid this?

How often should I be cleaning them, and how long should they last?

Are there any other options that would be more reliable with the V2 battery?

Thanks to any help provided!

Hi dwn009, hopefully you have enough spares to keep you going till you get more. 2 wks sounds alittle low to me but still cheaper than cigs. I clean and dry burn my vision v2 clearomizers about 3-5 days and im over 3 wks on a couple. Hopefully someone will help with your specific set-up as i dont know. Good luck

I might suggest trying and aforementioned Vision (aka stardust) clearomizer. I have found that they can lose flavor after a couple days of heavy vaping, but just need a little rinse to keep rolling. Might be a brand difference. It might also be the juice. I read that darker/heavier juices can clog those things up fast, thus potentially burn the heating element up.
Also, if you are using an adapter to fit a 501 thread on an 808 battery, check there for leaks, clogs, etc.

I have had many clearomizers last untill the wick wears out....I clean them with hot tap water ..just fill them and shake them holding both ends to keep water in....then i fill a shot glass up with hot water stick the battery side of the clearomizer in water and suck water thru it like a straw..spitting it in sink this clears air hole of buildup....then dry with a hairdryer on low heat and dry burn til wicks are dry and coil is completely clean...i do this like every 3 or 4 days vaping 2ml a day..

I bought 2 Kanger clearos and the 5 pack of replaceable wicks/coils about 2 months ago. I am still using the first clearo, with a second wick/coil. I rinse the clearo out every few days, soak the wick/coils in vodka for about 3 or 4 hours, then give a good rinse in hot water, let it dry for a few hours, reassemble and fill the clearo with juice, give it time to wick and I'm off blowing vapor clouds.:vapor:

I don't do the dry burns, I have fried way to many atty's/wicks/coils by doing this, so for me, it isn't worth it. I seem to have better luck by just cleaning them like I mentioned above.

The first wick/coil lasted almost two weeks, and I, through trail and error of cleaning, etc, ended up frying the wick, rendering it useless and I just tossed it.
