Just joined this forum today, I am from MO and have been vaping since July 16, 2013, the day I quit smoking cigarettees. I smoked cigarettes for 40 years. At age 13 it was only 1 or 2 cigarettes a week to age 53 smoking between 3 to 4 packs a day. I was waking up as hacking up a lung every morning, my husband was worried sick about my health. The day I quit I was on my way to store because I was down to 1 cigarette and needed to pick up a couple cartons. On my way there I stopped at this little store my sister was telling me about. I walked in and was there for over an hour. Drilling the poor women because I didn't want to start another habit that was going to be worse for me than cigarettees with all the chemicals tobacco has in it. She explained to me there is VG PG Nicotine(My choice on level) and what ever flavor I wanted. All the time there I was testing all the different flavors ect. and after an hour I realized I wasn't craving a cigarette, which was very unusual for me. Needless to say I bought a setup for myself and husband, tobacco flavor (nic 18). We haven't touch a cigarette since. We now have 200watt mods (never go over 60watt) and sub ohm tanks (much better hit), but our nicotine level is now 0 to 3. The majority of juice we vape I make but we do like to try out try other people's vape juice. I am 59 now, my doctor is pleased because my lungs are clear, and new doctors don't know I vape unless I tell them. I no longer cough up stuff every morning. I can go hours without vaping since I lowered level of nicotine to almost nothing. This is my only vice. I don't drink, don't drugs unless they are prescribed or legal.
Now I turn on the news and the government is trying to take my LIFESAVER away from me because there are parents out there that can't parent their kids. (I have 2 sons who don't smoke, I did my JOB as a parent and I was a heavy smoker). The news/talk shows are screaming on every channel that kids are dying because of vaping. But you have to read in the fine print on articles online that these kids were vaping THC and devices with HIGH nicotine levels. Where did they get it, parents buying, are they ordering on line (where did they get CC to pay). Don't you have to be 18 to get a CC. The government should be doing their job and monitoring what is coming in from China. I personally have ordered something but when I got it shipping label showed Jewelery not CBD oil I throw it out figured it wasn't checked or legal. Juul should be manufacturing ecigs with lower nicotine in them and package with better descrip of nicotine levels, I smoked 40 years and I couldn't vape a Juul, it made me dizzy from the level of nic in them but there are people who still need that high of level. Well I hope I haven't ranted to much but I am looking forward to reading others views and responses in other Threads.
