Hi all, just joined the forum. Been vaping lightly for the past year to try and quit smoking, the advice from a lot of the high street shops was just useless. But last week I put in a bit of research and finally got a build that works as I need it too. Plus it looks awesome. Still waiting on a few bits to be delivered. I have got the following :

0586CBAC-2A78-47F4-93E2-CA81F45E34F7.jpeg
5A5E27E3-E1F6-4BDA-9B1D-B19D665A8D54.jpeg

Smok T-priv 3 Mod in black/red with LEDs (LEDs set to red)

Smok tfv12 Prince T10 light up coils with red LEDs

Smok TFV12 Prince Cobra tank in black and red.

I am waiting for the following to finish it.

Grey (smoked) bubble glass 9ml

A kit to install LEDs to the cobra tank which will be red. Look at the tfv8 big baby light edition to see the effect.

And just to polish it off I have ordered direct from Smok, the cellular mesh to fit inside the cobra tank in black.

Will upload another pic once the final bits are delivered and installed.

Even though I've had 2 tanks with led coils (the tfv12 Prince and the ijoy limitless xl) and my current mod has leds (teslacigs punk 220w) I've never really seen the point in them - it's just a needless drain on the batteries. Granted it's not much of a drain, but other than a brief novelty I really can't see the point. Needless to say the leds on my punk are always set to off....

Hello and welcome to ecf. Are you building a led for show? Sry i guess i just dont see your point. Could you show a coil build that you vape?

I didn’t ask you to see my point, it does what I want it to, is quit smoking and it looks nearly how I want it to. Every person on this thread has the device that they want.

I’ve not really had any issues with battery drain, it takes 3 batteries and I have always got 6 fully charged batteries available anyway so doesn’t cause an issue, I agree it is a novelty but it fits with how I want it, I will be ordering different coils when I next need coils, will be switching to mesh coils I think.

View attachment 829665 Greetings and salutations!

I'm wondering what advice you got from the high Street shops.

Well despite being a 20 a day smoker, the high street shops were pushing 3mg Eliquid, and a set up sitting around the 20-30w mark, It just wasn’t satisfying any craving and it didn’t have any substance to it if you know what I mean. I’m now sat at 100w and using 6mg juice i much prefer vaping to smoking. I tried a cigarette the other day and I chucked it after one drag because it tastes vile.

I know Smok have got a really bad reputation, but in the past year I have had 3 Smok devices, and one eleaf, I much prefer smok. I have had no issues with leaking or power failures. The smoks have been perfect in doing what they are designed to do. The only little niggle I have had is on my new Tfv12 Prince cobra tank, the drip tip kept falling off, I lost it twice, but it was easily sorted by adding a small O-ring onto the figment. Now it’s rock solid.

Welcome and congrats! Quitting cigs is hard, and it helps if you have a device you like (and enough nicotine) so if it helps that your device looks cool, more power to you. You are very wise to have extra batteries. Vape on. When I quit cigs, I needed 18 mg nic, but just had a wimpy PockeX.

Thanks, yeah the past year has been really hard, but with my new set up I have found it easy. I think my device looks cool and I’m looking forward to the final pieces being delivered so I can complete the look. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but they don’t have to carry it round. Yeah unfortunately my mod doesn’t have the ability to charge the batteries so I have to charge them externally, hence the need for so many. Currently I use my old X-priv mod for charging but I have got a 4 slot smart charger coming in the next few days.

You haven't seen what the computer gamers have done. They use LED cases with LED fans, LED motherboards with LED memory illumination, and LED graphics cards, and LED watercooling, and LED keyboards with LED mice, and LED headphones, and LED monitors, plus some extra LED strips for good measure. And all the LEDs are addressable so they can program a synchronized light show. And why do they do it? Because it's the bleeding edge of cool. It was only a matter of time before the trend crossed over to vaping!

I used to have a computer case with leds on the front and side....they even had a setting which had them pulse in time with any sounds (usually the had or optical drives).....turned them off as well lol guess I'm just not a fan of leds unless they're in a torch lmao

Exactly, every person has their own taste, I like the black/red with LEDs, my Mrs loves all the rainbow effect stuff. Everyone has their own tastes, it’s been a ball ache trying to pull all of the different parts together to get it how I want, and yes it has all cost a fair whack, i have got 2 other complete vapes with all the spare and unused parts I have plus a drawer full of spare parts. The bit I’m not looking forward to is fitting the LEDs to the tfv12 cobra tank, smok don’t actually do a stock tfv12 tank with LEDs, they only do it with the tfv8 big baby. Which is a mm smaller and not compatible.

Back when I had my wismec rx200 which was also a 3 battery mod, I was averaging carrying 6-9 spare batteries with me! That thing used to eat them whole! Thankfully the punk, although only a 2 battery mod, lasts me about 12 hours on average with one set of batteries running at 60-80W

A set of 3 batteries is lasting me around 32 hours, that may slightly change when I add the final LEDs, but I can’t imagine by much.
