G'morning all. I have been snooping around here long enough and decided that is about time I joined up. I just received my e-cig last saturday and have been thoroughly enjoying my new toy. The wife and I decided it was time to try to kick analogs (again) and figurd that this was the way to go. And I believe we were right!

Quick background, I smoked about a pack and a half a day for about 18 years and since picking up my PV, I think I have had about 3 in a week... and hated every one of them. Started out with a 510 starter kit and quickly realized that the battery life left a bit to be desired. Moved up to an eGo 900 mah battery and haven't looked back. Still contemplating the LR attys and driptips, but, I have more reading to do.

Just wanted to say hola, and thanks for the info on here.

I'm jealous I'm still using my 510...though since I was a heavy smoker I started out with the XL batts. It's not a bad starter don't get me wrong but I can't wait till I can move up to the ego, gogo, or echo (leaning towards it but I think I want to see how it is on longevity 1st).

Welcome to ECF. I love it here! I plan to become a supportig member very soon.

Thanks all.

...... - my only fear with the LR attys is that I've been reading that they don't last very long compared to a standard. I think standard attys last about 3-4 weeks, but, have heard LR's last maybe one. Any truth to that?

Bkln - I'm in Middlesex county, right on the bay, but do some surfing down around your way and have some friends that live in Belmar and Long Branch. Actually thought about moving down there a while ago. I need to get back in the water something fierce, and it'd be nice to do it with better lung-power!

Yes it is true, but the one thing that I have noticed is that I get better performance from different brands. The Cisco Attys seem to be pretty reliable, as they have lasted me at least a month or so. I have tried a variety of vendors, and have gotten mixed results. It is kind of like a mini cost benefit deal. When I got atty for $3 a piece from Eastmall, I didn't care if I had an occasional dud. But with that being said, for me, the difference in performance for LR vs. regular is night and day. I couldn't go back to a standard atty if I wanted to (unless I used it on a HV device).
