WELCOME TO THE ECF

Hope you much success with your journey to quit cigs for good. In all honesty, you can save a lot of money depending on how much you intend to get wrapped up into it. A LOT of people like me have become habitual collectors of e-cigs, juice, and supplies like cartos and such.

If you get to that stage then......be prepared to spend just as much or more than you do on cigs. I am one of the few that save at least a 100 a month. Even though, I buy something every week LOL

Anyways, I don't suggest you start out with a minimum lvl of nicotine. 24-36mg should be the starting point depending on how much you smoke. If you were like me and smoked a pack a day then what I suggested would be it. If it's less than 18mg would be good for you.

As for beginning kits. Here are a few of the most popular types:

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Pro Starter Kit - Starter Kits
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye 510
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - E-Power

You will obviously have to make your own decision on which one best suits you. Good luck

Welcome xxxsoulxxx!

I agree with the others that the "minimum" nicotine to start with is likely in the 18-24 mg range. You probably know that the nicotine isn't the harmful component in smoke- it's the 4000+ other chemicals that are the problem. So I'd recommend starting with a nicotine concentration that makes it fairly easy to avoid the smokes. You can step down from there if/when you want to.

Welcome to ECF! Unlike the others, I started off with the lights (8 - 11mg) because that's what I used to smoke. I stuck with this level for about six months before I began to wean myself off the nic, altogether. If you smoked Lights, 24mg may be too much. You'll know that you've had too much when you get a headache and jittery.

Before I quit smoking, I used to spend an average of $300 per month on cigarettes. Now, I spend about $100 every other month for juice, attys and batteries. Sometimes I'll splurge if I want to try out a new brand of e-cig. But most of the time, I stick to the basics so that I can save money. So far, that's working.

This has been the best method I've used to quit smoking cigarettes. After a couple of weeks, your bronchial tubes will feel better than they have in years, and you'll be able to taste and smell again. Good luck with your journey. I hope you enjoy the e-cigarette as much as I have.
