Hey all I'm here because I'm sick of smoking. It's weird at a festival I went to last weekend I picked up an e cig. Now before I had tried them and it never did it for me till I got the kind that actually gives you that almost feel of smoking. Well I'm proud to say I still have the same pack of cigs from last weekend. I never tried quitting before. I started smoking young and now since my B-Day is coming I would like to be cigarette free by October 2 when I turn 35. I couldn't think of a better gift to myself then to be off those things.

A little about me I'm a moderator on a forum that helps people grow natural things to help the mind, body, and spirit. So I totally understand the 5 post rule. We have it to because spammers are going to spam if they can. I have 2 cats they are Tonkinese and act like dogs I kid you not. I love music dearly and could not imagine my life without it.

i came to this forum because well for one the people seem very nice from the lurking I did:p

So many all seem to know their vapeing and are cig free and that's what I want to be. I hope this will be my 1st and last attempt at quitting. I know there will be setbacks and I'm ok with that. I have to say since I have been using my e cig I have an eGo-T and for now it's perfect till I can get a more durable mod. I ordered some atomizers and an extra battery and of course the juice. I was hoping I'll get one on my B-Day. So anyway I just wanted to say hello and how grateful I am to be here. I look forward to learning as I am a noob when it comes to this. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Namaste'~Dani

Hi Danielle! I recently turned 38 and have now been vaping and off of cigs for about 5 years... you can definitely do this with vaping! Congratulations on a wonderful start, as well!

I know that when you find the right set-up, you will not look back. The eGo-T is a pretty decent starter... I used mine for years and still have a few in the drawer to this day. A good gentle step up would be an iTaste MVP 2 with an Aspire Nautilus (or the Mini version). You can get the BVC (Bottom Vertical Coil) replacements and use them in either the standard or mini Nautilus.

I'm positive that you will love it here... everyone here is very helpful and super nice! I've only been here a little while, myself and I love it so much that I spend hours a day just popping in and out of different threads!

Enjoy your stay and good luck on your path! :D

Welcome and I wish you the best of luck quitting smoking. I have been vaping since January and have not looked back. Like Kaezziel stated the MVP2 and Aspire Mini is a good starter setup which is currently my main setup. It is so easy to use my wife who is not a smoker or a vaper has started using. One very important thing to remember is try different juices. Different companies may sell the same flavor but can have completely different tastes. Also keep an open mind, what may sound weird sometimes turns out to taste amazing.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I wonder what some of you think of the Tesla? I'm sure there's a review on it here somewhere. I adore Tesla and don't just want to get a MOD just because it has the Tesla name. It does look pretty nifty though. I'm so glad I joined because there is so much good info here. So I know when the time comes to get a more advanced device I'm glad there is so much knowledge here.

I'm also a typical chick and love colours. I have to say the eGo-T is my saving grace ATM. So far not a single cig today:D

You know what else is amazing is I'm starting to feel better physically I didn't realize how sick I was from smoking! Today some e juices and a few cartomizers are coming so I can find which works best. My goal is to be able to build my own. That will be in the future because I'm just focusing ATM on learning all I can about these devices. Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! It means a lot and to have support in quitting it means so much!

Hugs!

Is this the Tesla that you're talking about? (There are several different Teslas models...)

LOL... I've got one in black! It's a pretty decent mod... 3-6 volts or 5-15W adjustment... won't fire a coil of less than 1.7 ohms, but works awesome with carto-tanks or clearomizers.
I've had mine for about 2 years I think... I still use it from time to time and actually am waiting on a rebuildable tank for it right now. (Just ordered the Orchid V2 on Tuesday)
Pretty solid too, I dropped it down the stairs at home, ran down to the bottom and picked it back up, checked it for damage... looked fine so took a vape... no problems!!
I've dropped it in the parking lot, knocked it off the table/desk... it is a little scratched up, but all the buttons and display still works fine... I'd recommend it! :D

That is so awesome to know! Also you sound like me always dropping things lolz. It's good to know that you have had 2 years with it. For the price that really makes me happy to know I can get longevity from it. Great minds think alike when it comes to colour too;)

One thing I noticed you have to shop around some sites have better prices on one thing another site might have a better price on something else. I noticed this with the clearomizers and tanks. So far I have a few coming to try but I look forward to having a solid MOD so I can spend the money on a rebuild able clearomizers or tank.

If you wanna see some of the stuff I'm waiting on right now, check my vapemail thread:
Vape Mail On The Way

Yeah, it's a solid mod, and I've not regretted that purchase for sure!
Definitely shop around! There are so many people selling the same stuff that you can ALWAYS find a better price...

I will mos definitely will be checking out the vape mail thread. I love waiting for things in the mail so looking forward to seeing what goodies you have coming. My stuff just arrived and my battery finally needs a charge so I'm waiting to try my stuff. Especially the cartomizers one I got looks like it will give me a nice vape.

I also got a psychedelic drip tip lolz. Oh this hobby can be addicting but in a much better way as this is more a lifestyle change for me. I'm so grateful vapeing is working! Once I have enough posts I'll share some pics as well and would like to post in the mail thread. Thank you for all your help! You my dear are a gem!

Cartomizers can most definitely give you a pretty good vape, especially with a VV-VW device. Check out Baditude's blog posts: Baditude's Blog
He has several entries on battery safety and some stuff in there about cartomizers. Also quite a few other entries that are great resources for new vapers!

LOL, I gotta see that psychedelic drip tip! I've got quite a few tips myself... thinking of trying my hand at making my own wide-bore tip...
Vaping is DEFINITELY a lifestyle change, and a hobby that will take over your life and checking account... I'm happy that it is working out so well for you. I promise that if you give it time and stick with it, you will definitely notice the health changes that come from quitting smoking!

And you are most welcome for what little advice I have given... I love to help out the newer vapers/members... You, my dear, are too sweet! :D
