Hi all,
I've now been vaping and off the cigarettes for 2.5 days, it's not like I'm counting or anything.

I've started with 2 x ego's from ebay, one with a ce5, the other an evod and a couple of juices from liberty-flights, RY4 & ROAR vanilla. I got bored after one day though and ordered a few 5ml bottles from vapourjuice.co.uk. I've also got some cheap GS-H2 clearomizers coming from ebay to use with the new different flavours I've got.

I'm a bloke & a bit of a gadget person, so might be getting carried away trying to find the right setup for myself ... I've got a Vivi Nova, iclear 16 & protank mini on the way. Then this evening I've just ordered a couple of innokin mods from China , an MVP from chinabuye & an itaste vv v3 from fasttech. Hopefully this gadget fetish will calm down shortly or this will work out more expensive than smoking.

From what I've read/heard taste buds take a while to recover after stopping smoking, so I doubt I'll be settling on one liquid for some time yet. I'll likely be asking advice on different juices and other things, so please bear with me.

Chris

Slight frustration today, the mini protank I ordered specifically to use with absinthe liquid has arrived, but I don't think I like the absinthe. I've also tried the cinnamon bake liquid which I'm not keen on either. Oh well, maybe I'll like them in a few weeks when my sense of taste improves. For now at least I've got banana cream & RY4 that I enjoy.

My first stupid question:
Is it ok to leave liquid in the clearo's for a couple of weeks? or should I empty them and clean them out if I'm going to be laving them for a while?

Hi skattrd,

welcome to ECF!

Gadget fetish going away... hmmm...
for me not really... most of the time i'm ok and then i get a bout of affliction.
But since smokes are soooo expensive here (and i heard even more so in the UK)
i am still in the plus... i think...

About leaving liquid in a clearo? Not sure, whether it is okay. Personally i don't like to vape them after they have been
laying around for more than a week unused. If anything changes... idk... i've never tried.

Welcome Chris.

I'm in the UK and well, exactly like you, it's been 5 months for me though and the tech addiction is still raging, though the money I spend on liquid has calmed drastically, so it works out.

I find this is much better as an addicition than smokes so as long as you can afford what you're buying and having fun then have at it!.

Liquids - I've left liquid in a clearo for around 2 weeks so far and it seems fine to vape. It's probably not recommended but I haven't noticed a difference, maybe the more experienced vape'rs here will have advice as far as that.

Glad you made the jump and enjoy it!

Cheers for the welcome guys.

I'm still searching for a liquid/juice I like for more than a few minutes, so far I've gone through:
RY4 tobacco - I still quite like this and it's the one I'm using most
ROAR vanilla
banana cream
cinnamon bake
vanilla custard
absinthe

The absinthe and cinnamon are tasting a bit weak to me, could they improve with a little steeping?

Any suggestions on what to try next?
I was thinking of a coffee flavour or blackcurrant/licorice, I really don't know.
I may have a drive down to Peterborough to ecigwizard to get a couple of new liquids, maybe the Nordic Vapours Salmiakki - Salty Liquorice.

Hey Skattrd. Don't use clearos for too long and if you notice a burnt taste, change right away. You might also find that mesh clearomisers last a bit longer and keep your eliquids cleaner and brighter-tasting for longer. I also like them because you only have to replace the head sections for a couple of quid rather than a whole new tank unit. Hope this helps.

I'm still searching for a liquid I like for more than a few days, there's so many out there that I think it's hard to nail down.

I enjoy the more gritty flavours to fruit myself, so coffee and rainbow mix tobacco have been the best for me so far, all comes down to preference I suppose. You'll find one.
